Mallorca offers excellent, accessible scuba diving in warm, clear Mediterranean water. The island's protected marine reserves, dramatic underwater walls, caves and scattered wrecks suit everyone from a first-time try-dive to certified divers, with summer visibility regularly reaching 20–30 metres and water temperatures comfortable from late spring to autumn. Where to dive
The marine reserves around El Toro and the Malgrats islets off the south-west are among the richest sites, with abundant fish life, groupers and dramatic topography. The south-east coast around Porto Petro and Cala d'Or offers walls, caverns and gentle training bays. The Cabrera Archipelago National Park to the south is a protected jewel for those wanting a boat-dive day-trip. Sites range from shallow, sheltered bays ideal for courses to deeper walls for the experienced.
