Looking to book or already have a booking?

What happens if there is bad weather?

If there is bad weather, your instructor will contact you to let you know if there is a cancellation due to poor weather. In most cases there will be the option of rescheduling or a full refund. Do not assume your activity is cancelled without confirming with your instructor. Many adventure sports are just as fun in the rain! If needed, the provider will rearrange your booking. You will be notified by email and can use the built-in chat on adventuro to communicate with your instructor. You will also find their contact details in your payment confirmation email. Search in your inbox for “your payment has been successful”.

Can I pay on the day?

To confirm your booking, you must pay on adventuro beforehand. To pay, go to my account by clicking on menu in the top right-hand corner and go to ‘My Bookings’. There will be a link, ‘Pay to confirm,’ which takes you through to our secure payment provider, Stripe.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please check the activity page for the cancellation of your booking, a link will be in your confirmation email. Our standard polices are as follows:

Flexible means:

You can cancel until 48 hours before your booking for a full refund

If you cancel after that, you'll pay 50% up to 24 hours beforehand and the full amount after 24 hours

Moderate means:

You can cancel until 5 days before your booking for a full refund

If you cancel after that, you'll pay 50% up to 48 hours beforehand and the full amount after 48 hours

Firm means:

To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 14 days before your booking

If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before your booking, you'll pay 50% of the cost

If you cancel less than 7 days before the booking starts, you'll pay the full amount

Strict means:

To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 30 days before your booking

If you cancel between 7 and 30 days before your booking, you'll pay 50% of the cost

If you cancel less than 7 days before the booking starts, you'll pay the full amount

You can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of paying, if the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before the booking starts

Custom means:

Some activities have custom cancellation policies, which will be outlined on the activity page. Click on ‘Cancellation’ in the details to see the pop-up.

If you have any questions regarding cancellation, please send the centre a message using the chat function. Go to ‘My Account’.

Can I change my booking?

If you need to change your booking, send the activity provider a message using the chat function. Go to ‘My Account’.

How long does it take for centres to respond to booking requests?

Most centres reply on the same day that you make your booking request. However, some of our centres will be out flying or diving during the day so please bear this in mind. If you haven't heard back and you are keen to get the booking confirmed then give us a message in the live chat and we can nudge things along for you.

How can I change the number of people on a booking?

If you have an existing booking and want to change the number of people then send the centre a message in ‘My Account’ – ‘My Bookings’ – ‘Manage’. We can then update your booking and send you a payment link if required.

I can't see where the exact location is?

Exact meeting point instructions will be included in your payment confirmation email. Some activities, such as paragliding, depend on the wind so contact details are also included in the payment confirmation email so you can liaise directly.

Adventure Sports

What is an adventure sport?

We are not that particular about definitions or limitations to be honest, but here goes: adventur(o)e sports are any activities which require a degree of competence and daring due to doing something that humans do not naturally find themselves doing. Eg. scaling vertical walls, breathing underwater, and falling through the sky.

What is the difference between adventure sports and extreme sports?

Some might say that all extreme sports are adventure sports but not all adventure sports are extreme, think gently kayaking across a tranquil lake… Adventure sports incorporate a broader array of sports, including some that are less extreme, such as hiking or paddleboarding.

Are adventure sports safe?

All things worth doing come with some risk. Adventure sports come with risk, some more than others. However, when practiced in a professional safety-first environment, those risks can be reduced to minimal levels. At adventuro, we check the reputation of each centre that joins the site to give you faith that each centre meets a good standard for safety. We do not, however, take any responsibility for the safety of the experiences or activities which remains fully the responsibility of the centre that delivers your booking. If you are not satisfied with their approach when you arrive, do not take part.

Gift vouchers

What can I use the voucher on?

All vouchers can be used on any activity on the adventuro platform, subject to availability. You can browse the activities here.

How long are the vouchers valid?

Vouchers are valid for a full 18 months from the day of purchase so there is plenty of time to choose and enjoy.

Are the vouchers for specific activities?

All vouchers can be used on any activity on the adventuro platform. You can suggest an activity to add to the voucher, for example if you know the recipient loves kayaking, but they are then free to choose any activity.

How does the recipient book?

To use the voucher, enter the code in the coupon code section of the booking form on the activity page.

What if my activity is cancelled?

As with any payment, if your activity is cancelled you will be due a refund. If you paid with a voucher, the voucher will be topped up to its previous level.

Can I buy more than one voucher?

Of course. However, you need to purchase each one separately as once you pay we create the voucher for you each time.

Do you deliver physical cards?

We only offer digital e-vouchers by email, instant and easy to print or forward. Physical cards are not available at the moment.

Do I need to use it all at once?

No. You can use the voucher in parts. Any remaining balance will stay on the same code so it can be used across multiple bookings.

Other terms

All vouchers are non-refundable and non-extendable.

The 10% back offer for the purchaser is limited to £40 back.

Only one voucher can be used per booking and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The availability of activities on adventuro cannot be guaranteed; the selection is subject to change.

What is the grand plan for adventuro?

We are determined to make the world less boring. We intend to smash down the barriers to learning new cool hobbies. We want to be the go-to place to book adventure sports, whatever your level. We hope to expand outside of the UK soon, if you are a centre across Europe or elsewhere get in touch so we can let you know when we expand to your country!
