Diving experience builds quickly over this two-day training course, designed to help certified beginners move into more advanced underwater skills. With a private instructor guiding each step, the focus shifts from basic diving to improving control, confidence, and technique across different dive types. Each session is structured to combine practical learning with real dive experience at sea.
Initial briefing sets out the structure of the course, reviewing your current certification and outlining the training dives ahead. Once prepared, you’ll head out by boat to selected dive sites where each session is focused on a specific skill area. Equipment checks and safety guidance are completed before every dive so you can concentrate fully on the water.
Across the two days, training moves through a series of open water dives that gradually introduce more advanced techniques. Navigation exercises, buoyancy control work, and deeper dives form part of the progression, depending on conditions and your comfort level. Between sessions, time is spent onboard reviewing performance, resting, and preparing for the next dive, with meals and refreshments provided throughout the day.
Training takes place in Hurghada, where calm sea conditions and accessible reef systems provide a practical environment for advanced dive training. The Red Sea is widely used for PADI courses due to its clear visibility and varied underwater terrain.
Boat departures are arranged from the local marina, giving direct access to multiple training sites within short sailing distance. This allows more time in the water and less time travelling between locations, which is ideal for skill development over consecutive dive days.
A recognised Open Water Diver certification is required before joining this course, as it builds on existing scuba knowledge. Participants should already be comfortable with basic diving skills and underwater breathing control.
You should also be in reasonable health and comfortable spending extended time in the water. Full guidance is provided by the instructor throughout to ensure safe progression through each dive.
Private instruction ensures each diver receives focused guidance tailored to their pace and experience level. Training is delivered step by step, allowing skills to develop gradually without pressure.
Experienced instructors oversee all dives, maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and clear communication throughout the course. Sessions are structured to balance learning, practice, and rest for a consistent and manageable experience.
