Swap the resort strip for dunes on a five-hour desert evening: ATV first, then a slower camel stretch, dinner and live entertainment at a Bedouin-style camp. We collect you from your Hurghada hotel so you can leave the car keys behind and head straight inland.
Engines rumble across open dunes as the convoy threads through golden sand, and the first stretch of the evening feels fast and wide. Wind carries heat off the ridges while tires find grip on loose tracks, and the group moves together through a landscape with no resort noise in earshot. Brief stops along the route let you catch your breath and look back at a horizon that seems to stretch forever inland.
When the quads fall quiet, the camel section brings an almost ceremonial calm across the same ground. Lanterns glow at camp as daylight thins, and dinner unfolds with music and dance in a setting that feels far from the Red Sea hotels. The mood is festive and shared rather than formal, and most people leave with dust on their shoes and a sharp memory of the dunes at sunset.
Hurghada sits on Egypt's Red Sea coast, with hotel strips along the shore and desert starting a short drive inland. This safari uses that inland belt, where tracks and dunes sit away from the resort roads.
We collect you from Hurghada hotels. Collection is from your hotel rather than a self-drive start, so you won't need to find a desert gate on your own.
Children from five years old can join. The ATV section is guided and the camel ride is short, which suits mixed groups comfortable on a moving quad and around animals.
Infant seats are available on the transfer. Wear closed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dusty, and tell us in advance if anyone needs extra help boarding the ATV or camel.
We've shaped the evening as one arc: quad time, a camel stretch, then dinner with a show at camp, rather than a rushed tick-list. You stay with the same crew from pickup through the return, which keeps the pacing clear.
Our local guides know the Hurghada desert tracks and the camp routine, so you're not guessing when the light drops. Riding plus a sit-down evening gives you a straightforward look at the dunes without an overnight stay.
We'll collect you from your Hurghada hotel and heads inland toward the desert park used for evening safaris. Use the transfer to fit helmets in your mind, stow loose items, and ask any last questions about the ATV briefing. Stay in the lobby a few minutes early so the round of hotel stops stays on time.
Guides explain the controls, check helmets, and lead a convoy across sand tracks and open desert. This is the energetic stretch of the six-hour outing, with time to settle into the throttle before you reach camp. Keep your place in line and save the photos for the stops rather than while moving.
Handlers help you onto a camel for a short, slow ride through the same landscape you have just crossed on two wheels. It is a change of pace rather than a long trek, and it sits naturally between the quad section and dinner. Listen to the mount and dismount instructions; camels stand in stages.
The Bedouin-style village is where the evening meal and live music and dance take place. You sit down after the riding, eat at camp, and watch the performance before the drive back to the coast. This is the cultural close of the outing rather than a rushed snack on the dunes.
After the show the transfer returns you to your Hurghada hotel. Keep a layer handy; the coast can still feel cooler than the afternoon. If you bought extras at camp, stow them before the vehicle fills for the last hotel drops.
The outing is planned as around five hours from pickup to drop-off, including the drive inland, the ATV section, the camel ride, and time at camp for dinner and the show. Exact timing can shift a little with hotel locations and evening light, but you should allow a full late-afternoon and evening block rather than a short add-on.
Because the camp meal and performance sit at the end, you are not back at the hotel for an early dinner. If you have other plans the same night, leave a buffer after the return rather than stacking another activity immediately afterwards.
Yes. Collection from Hurghada hotels is part of this safari, so you do not need to arrange a taxi to a desert meeting point. Confirm your hotel name when you reserve so the driver can plan the round. Pickup windows can vary by area, which is why the team sends a time rather than asking you to wait at a public square.
Stay in the lobby a few minutes early with closed shoes and a layer for the evening. If your hotel has more than one gate, wait where guest transfers usually collect so the driver can find you without delay.
The minimum age is five years. Younger children are not a fit for the ATV section even as passengers unless the team confirms otherwise on the day, so plan around that threshold. The camel ride is short and the camp dinner is a sit-down stop, which helps mixed-age groups once the age rule is met.
Infant seats can be used on the road transfer. If you are travelling with a child close to five, say so in advance so the guide can seat them safely and keep the convoy pace suitable.
No. The day is easy-paced and a guide leads the convoy after a briefing and helmet fitting. You still need to follow instructions, keep a sensible speed, and stay on the marked tracks. If you have never ridden a quad, say so at the start so the guide can place you where they can see you.
The sand can feel loose under the tyres at first. Take the opening minutes to get used to the throttle rather than racing. Closed shoes help with the footpegs, and long sleeves reduce scrapes if you brush vegetation at the edge of a track.
Once the riding sections are done you reach a Bedouin-style camp for an evening meal and a live show of music and dance. Dinner is served at camp rather than as a packed snack on the ATV, so this is a sit-down stop with time to rest after the dunes. The performance is traditional entertainment rather than a nightclub, and it is part of the included evening rather than an optional extra.
After the show the transfer takes you to your Hurghada hotel. If you want photographs of the camp, bring a phone with a little battery left; professional photo packages, if offered, are usually paid separately on site.
Yes. A camel ride is part of this safari alongside the ATV section, giving a slower stretch through the same desert setting. It is a short, guided ride rather than a long trek, and it sits between the quad time and the camp evening. You do not need riding experience; handlers help you mount and walk the animal at an easy pace.
Wear trousers or long shorts that cover the saddle area, and listen to the handler before you swing a leg over. If anyone in your group would rather watch than ride, tell the guide at camp so they can keep that person with the group without holding up the others.
Closed shoes, clothes you do not mind getting dusty, sunglasses, and sun protection are the basics for the ATV section. A scarf or buff helps with blown sand. After sunset the desert can feel cooler than the coast, so pack a light jumper or shirt you can add at camp. A small amount of cash covers tips and any extras sold at camp.
Leave loose scarves that could catch in moving parts, and tie back long hair before you start the quad. Bring water if you like a bottle to hand, though the camp stop is the main chance to sit and eat. Phones should be secured in a zipped pocket or bag during the ride.
Groups run from one guest up to fifteen. That range covers couples as well as larger hotel parties sharing the same convoy and camp seating. You may share the ATV tracks and the dinner area with other guests on the same departure, which is normal for this style of evening safari.
If you are a small party you still get the same route, briefing, and show. The guide sets the pace for the whole convoy, so stay with the group rather than peeling off to photograph dunes on your own.
Infant seats are available on the transfer. Pets may be allowed; confirm when you reserve so the vehicle and seating can be planned. That is useful if you are travelling as a family with a very young child who is not joining the ATV itself, or if you have a pet that must stay with you.
The desert stop still involves engines, sand, and a busy camp, which can be noisy for animals. Keep pets under control around the camels and the dining area, and bring any leads or carriers you would use in a vehicle.
Desert evenings here are mildly affected by weather. Light wind and haze are common and the safari usually still runs. Stronger sand-laden wind can make the ATV section less comfortable and may slow the convoy or shorten time on the open tracks. The team will adapt the route if conditions on the dunes are poor.
A layer that covers your mouth and sunglasses that actually stay on your face make a windy day far easier. If the sky looks dusty from your hotel balcony, still allow the pickup; coastal haze is not always the same as conditions a short drive inland.
