Enjoy a guided ATV quad bike safari in the Red Sea desert near Hurghada, combining long-distance off-road riding with a Bedouin village stop and a short camel ride. This half-day experience includes hotel transfers from Hurghada and is suitable for beginners who want a longer ride at a steady pace.
The experience begins with hotel pickup from Hurghada, followed by a transfer to the quad bike base in the surrounding desert. On arrival, you’ll receive a short safety briefing and an introduction to the quad bike controls. Helmets are provided, and there is time to get comfortable before the ride begins.
Once underway, the route heads deep into the desert, covering a total distance of around 50 km across open sand and desert tracks. The pace is controlled and guided throughout, focusing on continuous riding rather than technical manoeuvres. After approximately one hour of riding, the group reaches a Bedouin village, offering a natural break from the quad bikes.
At the village, there is time to rest, drink Bedouin tea, and learn about aspects of desert life and traditions. A short camel ride is included during the stop. After the break, the return journey follows the desert route back to the starting point before transferring back to your hotel. Pickup times are confirmed in advance via WhatsApp and may vary depending on hotel location.
This activity takes place in the Red Sea desert outside Hurghada, an area characterised by wide open plains, compact sand, and gentle dunes rather than steep terrain. The landscape allows for longer-distance riding at a steady speed, making it suitable for less experienced riders.
Round-trip transfers are included from hotels in Hurghada. Transfers from Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Ahia, Safaga, and El Gouna are available for an additional charge, payable locally. Guests are advised to confirm their hotel location in advance.
No previous quad biking experience is required. Participants must be able to follow instructions and ride responsibly as part of a guided group. A basic introduction is provided before departure to ensure familiarity with the controls.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant travellers or for those with back or heart conditions due to vibration and uneven surfaces. It is not wheelchair accessible, infants must sit on a parent’s lap during transfers, and prams or strollers are only usable during transfer, not during the ride itself.
Operating since 2006, this experience is run by a team with long-standing local knowledge and extensive experience delivering desert activities across Egypt. All tours operate under the appropriate tourism licences and recognised industry memberships.

The village visit also provides a break from riding before starting the return journey.
