Curious about scuba? Try a guided introduction from Hurghada without needing a previous card. Instructors stay close in the water, and this is a first look at tanks and reef time rather than a full certification course.
Breathing underwater for the first time happens beside the boat at a calm reef, with your instructor holding your arm as you sink slowly past coral and reef fish. The briefing on deck covers how the regulator works and how to signal before you step off the swim platform.
A second descent at another beginner-friendly site follows lunch on board, with snorkel time between the two tank sessions if you want to stay at the surface. Coral, tropical fish and the weightless feeling of scuba frame the whole day on the Red Sea.
Hurghada marina belt sits in front of the hotel strip, with reefs a short run offshore. The day uses that Red Sea ground rather than a pool, so you practice beside the boat in open water with an instructor close by. Sites are picked for easier conditions, and the crew may switch to closer reefs if the outer water is too rough. You will be told as early as they can once morning conditions are clear.
Collection covers the usual Hurghada resort belt. Distances along the strip mean pickup windows can stretch, so be ready early at reception and eat breakfast before you leave. Tell us your hotel when you confirm so pickup runs smoothly. Traffic along the strip can slow the van, and a late start shortens time at the reefs because the boat leaves with the group. The whole day is about eight hours door to door, including transfer, briefing, two dive stops, lunch and snorkel windows.
No previous scuba qualification is required. You should be happy in the sea beside a boat and able to follow an instructor. Say if you have never used a regulator so they can spend extra time on breathing at the surface before you go down.
Wear swimwear under a cover-up, bring a towel and sun protection, and eat breakfast before pickup. Keep the whole day free rather than squeezing other plans around an eight-hour boat window. Soft shoes that can get wet help on the swim ladder, and a dry bag keeps phones off wet decks. Boat kit covers the scuba unit for the intro dives; bring your own mask if you prefer the fit. Say any dietary needs when you confirm your place so the kitchen can try to match them for the lunch on board.
Hotel collection, lunch and two intro dive stops keep a first scuba day simple from a Hurghada hotel. Instructors stay with you in the water rather than leaving you to find the reef alone. Snorkel time sits between the dives so the eight hours are not only tanks, and you can stay at the surface if that suits you better. Pickup covers the usual resort belt, so most hotel guests can join without arranging a separate taxi to the marina.
The boat returns to the same hotel strip you left in the morning, which makes the day easier to plan around a holiday. If the outer reefs are too rough, the crew may switch to closer sites or hold the departure rather than forcing a long run in a poor sea. You will be told as early as they can once morning conditions are clear. That mix of pickup, kit, lunch and guided water time is the point of a beginner boat day.
We'll collect you from your Hurghada hotel and takes you to the marina. Be ready in the pickup window with swim kit and a towel. On the boat the crew talk through the intro dives, life jackets and how the two stops will run.
At the first reef an instructor leads a beginner dive in easier water. Stay with your group, watch your air, and use a life jacket if you want extra flotation at the surface.
Lunch is served on board between water sessions. Rest in the shade, drink water, and say if you felt tired in the first dive so the second stop can be paced. There is also time to snorkel from the boat.
A second beginner-friendly site follows, sea state allowing. After the last session you cruise back to Hurghada and transfer to your hotel. The whole day is about eight hours door to door.
Yes. Round-trip collection from hotels in the Hurghada area is part of this day. Give your hotel name when you book so the driver can find the right gate, and be ready in the window you are given because traffic along the strip can slow the van.
Build the whole eight-hour shape into your day rather than planning a late dinner immediately afterwards. Arriving late at reception cuts into time at the reefs.
No previous scuba qualification is required. Instructors stay with you at two beginner-friendly sites. You should be happy in the sea beside a boat.
Say if you have never used a regulator so they can spend extra time on breathing at the surface before you go down. Life jackets are available if you want extra flotation at the surface.
A freshly prepared lunch is served on board between water sessions. Treat it as a proper sit-down on the boat rather than a snack, and say any dietary needs when you confirm your place so the kitchen can try to match them.
Carry extra water and a small snack for the wait at pickup if you eat breakfast early. Soft drinks beyond what is served may be extra on the boat.
The day uses two beginner-friendly dive sites, chosen for easier water. Exact reefs change with the sea. Between dives there is time to snorkel, sit on deck or rest in the shade.
Stay with the instructor on the tank sessions. Keep the boat in sight when you snorkel.
No. This is a guided intro day on tanks. You do not leave with a qualification card. The instructor signs you in and out of the two water sessions and stays with you in the sea.
If you want a multi-day course that leads to a card, that is a different product. Choose this trip if you want a first go on a full-day boat.
Yes. Boat kit covers the scuba unit for the intro dives. Bring your own mask if you prefer the fit.
Life jackets are available if you want extra flotation at the surface. Fit the mask before the first site so you are not sorting leaks at the swim step.
Swimwear, a rash vest or t-shirt, a towel and dry clothes for the ride back are the practical kit. Sunscreen, a hat and a long sleeve for the deck matter on an eight-hour day.
A dry bag keeps phones off wet decks. Soft shoes that can get wet help on the swim ladder. Boat kit covers the scuba unit for the intro dives; bring your own mask if you prefer the fit.
Yes. Free time to snorkel is part of the day as well as the two intro dives. Stay where you can see the boat when you surface, and use a life jacket if you want extra flotation.
Snorkel time is not a third tank dive. If you only want to stay at the surface, say so to the instructor so they do not kit you for a descent you do not want.
The day needs a workable sea. If the outer reefs are too rough, the crew may switch to closer sites or hold the departure. You will be told as early as they can once morning conditions are clear.
Have a loose plan for the rest of the day so a weather hold does not wreck the whole morning. Eight hours on a boat is already a long window even when the sea is kind.
About eight hours including collection. The extra time is transfer, briefing, two dive stops, lunch and snorkel windows, not extra tank dives beyond the two sites.
Keep the whole day free. A late appearance at reception shortens time on the water because the boat leaves with the group.
