Amazing trip with 3x11 year olds. They loved it. Beat surfing apparently. Guides were amazing, kind, well informed and patient. We’ll be back for sure (take a GoPro if you want pics)

All centres are vetted for safety and quality. Your adventure is in good hands with adventuro.

Coasteering Croyde is an experience like no other. A private coasteer gives your group a dedicated guide for three hours along Baggy Point, with traversing rocks, gullies, sea swimming, caves and optional rock jumps tailored to your ability, pace, and occasion.
Your guide checks tide and sea state, fits wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets, then leads you on a route chosen for your group from family-friendly to more challenging lines along the headland. Because the session is private, you can pause for photos, skip jumps, or spend longer in a favourite cave without waiting on a larger public group.
Jumps are never compulsory. You explore smugglers caves, natural swimming pools, whirlpools and rapids with a qualified beach lifeguard who knows Baggy Point inside out and adapts the line as confidence grows through the session.
Return to our purpose-built centre for hot showers and indoor changing, with on-site facilities that make the end of a coastal session more comfortable. Free lockers keep phones and car keys safe while you are on the coast.
Private format suits hen and stag groups, families, schools, and teams who want the coast to themselves with flexible pacing. We can match energy levels from a gentle first coasteer to a more demanding route for repeat visitors.
Sessions start at Baggy Lodge beside Baggy Point, North Devon's flagship coasteering coastline, with the shortest walk to the routes from the centre. You meet indoors, hear the safety brief, and reach the water quickly compared with van-based operators elsewhere on the coast.
The National Trust headland offers dramatic cliffs, caves and gullies a short distance from Croyde village and the main beach. On clear days the views back along the coast toward Woolacombe and Saunton are part of the experience, not just the jumps and swims.
Minimum age ten, swim 50 metres, bring swimwear, towel, laced trainers and shorts over your wetsuit. You should be comfortable on uneven wet rock and in open water with a buoyancy aid; coasteering is active but guides set a pace the group can manage.
Tell us in chat about fitness levels, group size, or if you want a particular style of route for your celebration or team day. We can plan mellower lines for mixed-age families or more challenge for confident adventurers.
Our coasteer guides are fully qualified beach lifeguards and members of the National Coasteering Charter, with routes shaped around tide, swell, and your group's confidence.
We pioneered coasteering here, with indoor changing, hot showers, and the same professional standards as our surf school if your group wants surf and coast sessions across one weekend from Baggy Lodge.
A private coasteer gives your group a dedicated guide for three hours along Baggy Point. The route is tailored to your ability, pace, and occasion, from family-friendly lines to more energetic coastal features.
You still explore caves, gullies, swims, and optional jumps with the same safety kit and briefing standards as our public sessions.
Your guide assesses tide, swell, and weather before you enter the water. You receive a full safety briefing and are fitted with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet, and gloves when needed.
Guides are qualified beach lifeguards. If conditions are unsuitable, we reschedule rather than push ahead.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen on sunny days, and closed-toe laced trainers you do not mind getting wet. Add loose shorts to wear over your wetsuit.
We provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and helmets at Baggy Lodge. Lockers are available for valuables while you are on the coast.
Yes. Heated changing rooms and hot showers are on site at Baggy Lodge, one of the few coasteering bases in Croyde with indoor facilities.
That matters after three hours in the Atlantic, especially on cooler days when you want to warm up quickly before heading back to your accommodation.
Minimum age is ten. Everyone must swim 50 metres in open water and be comfortable on uneven wet rock.
Tell us in chat about fitness, celebrations, or mixed-age groups so we can match the route honestly and set a pace everyone can enjoy.
Jumps are always optional. Your private guide can spend longer in caves, skip features, or add challenge only when the group is ready.
Private format suits hen and stag groups, families, schools, and teams who want flexible pacing without waiting on a larger public group.
Up to six guests per guide is our standard ratio for safe supervision on the coast. Larger parties can arrange multiple guides so everyone stays within that limit.
When you reserve, confirm your exact group size so we allocate the right number of qualified beach lifeguards for your date.
Many groups plan surf and coasteer on the same weekend from our Baggy Lodge base. Share your dates in chat and we can suggest a sensible order for tides and energy levels.
Indoor changing and hot showers make back-to-back sessions more comfortable when you stay with us for both activities.
Guides may move your start time or reschedule if sea state or swell is unsafe. Light rain usually still allows a great session in wetsuits.
We contact you as early as possible if plans need to change, and work with you on a new date that suits your trip.
Meet at Baggy Lodge, Moor Lane, Croyde, EX33 1PA. You check in indoors before walking to Baggy Point with your guide.
Arrive early for kit fitting and waivers. Parking in Croyde can be busy in peak season, so allow a few extra minutes on summer weekends.

You will find us in the heart of Croyde Bay, steps from one of the UK's most reliable beach breaks. We run surf lessons, coasteering, weekend surf camps, instructor training, equipment hire, and sea sauna sessions from our purpose-built centre on Moor Lane, with heated changing rooms, hot showers, and secure lockers so you can focus on the session.
Our coaches work at a six-to-one ratio on group lessons, hold beach lifeguard and Surfing England qualifications, and coach everyone from first-time surfers to national pathway athletes. Whether you join us for a single lesson, a private session, or a multi-day camp, we keep safety, progression, and time in the water at the centre of every experience.
