How the Course Works
This comprehensive, hands-on course combines independent study, theory sessions, practical skills training, and real-world experience through an internship-style approach.
Theory & Knowledge Development:
- Complete the PADI Divemaster eLearning - includes digital manual, videos & knowledge reviews
- Atrend 4 key lectures: Course Orientation; Dive Theory; Assisting with Students; Supervising Certified Divers
- Pass 2 theory exams
Practical Training & Skills Development:
- Learn & demonstrate 24 skills from the Open Water course
- Design an Emergency Assistance Plan
- Create an underwater map of a dive site
- Perform a full rescue skills demonstration
- Pass a water skills and stamina assessment (see below)
Water Skills & Stamina Tests:
- 800m snorkel swim
- 400m swim
- 100m tired diver tow
- 15-minute survival float
Real-World Training & Internship:
- Assist instructors in real PADI courses
- Pass 5 practical skills assessments, including Dive Site Management & Deep Dive Scenarios
- Complete 5 program workshops in a roleplay environment
- Participate in 4 real-student training sessions

Upon completing the course, you'll have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through freelance work, course shadowing, and dive supervision with our team.
Prerequisites
- PADI Rescue Diver Certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 40 logged dives (60 required for certification)
- Minimum aga 18 years
- Current HSE dive medical signed by HSE dive doctor
- CPR & First Aid certification within the last 24 months
