Throughout the course, you will engage in a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop both your diving skills and your ability to lead others. The training begins with a focus on theoretical knowledge, covering essential topics such as dive physics, physiology, equipment management, and environmental awareness. You will participate in detailed workshops that enhance your understanding of diving practices, safety procedures, and the role of a Divemaster.
Practical training will take place in both pool settings and open water environments, including our exclusive lake, which boasts clear visibility and abundant marine life. You will perform various water skills assessments, including swimming evaluations and dive scenarios that simulate real-world challenges. These assessments will not only refine your diving skills but also build your confidence in leading and managing dive activities.
Key components of the training include mapping an open water diving site, conducting diving programmes, supervising student divers, and developing emergency response skills. By the end of the course, you will possess the hands-on experience necessary to assist instructors effectively and guide certified divers on memorable underwater experiences.
Training will occur at multiple heated pool locations, as well as an exclusive lake known for its excellent visibility and rich aquatic life. This setting provides an ideal environment for practical assessments and skill development, allowing participants to train comfortably and enjoyably. The lake offers a scenic backdrop, making your training both enjoyable and enriching.
You must hold a minimum certification level of PADI Rescue Diver or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 40 logged open water dives is required at the start, progressing to a total of 60 dives for certification.
You must also have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the past two years and possess a medical statement signed by a physician, indicating you are ‘fit to dive’ within the last 12 months.

To enrol, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification or an equivalent.
You should also have a minimum of 40 logged open water dives before starting the course, progressing to 60 dives for certification.
Additionally, you need to complete Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the past two years and obtain a medical statement from a physician confirming you are fit to dive.
The Crewpack, which costs £220, includes essential course materials such as online learning access, four Divemaster slates for note-taking, and a professional logbook to record your diving experiences.
These resources are crucial for your training and future career as a Divemaster.
In addition to the course fee of £695 and the Crewpack fee, you will need to pay a PADI membership fee of £132 upon completion of the course.
There may also be costs for air fills and travel to training locations if applicable. Entry fees for lakes will apply on non-assisting days.
While free equipment hire is provided for the duration of the course, you are encouraged to invest in your own diving gear for professional appearance and comfort.
Essential personal equipment includes a dive computer, surface signalling devices, and a dive knife. Using your own gear also allows you to become accustomed to it during training.
Participants receive extensive support from experienced PADI instructors throughout their training. You will have access to personalised guidance during theory lessons and practical assessments.

Yes, once you are certified as a Divemaster, you can assist instructors with training, guide certified divers on dives, and conduct specific courses independently.
This certification enables you to work at any PADI dive centre worldwide, opening up numerous job opportunities in exciting locations.
Club membership is free for all course participants and includes benefits such as a 10% discount on selected dive gear from brands like Apeks, Fourth Element, and Aqua Lung.
