Are you passionate about scuba diving and looking to advance your skills? The PADI Junior Divemaster course is an excellent opportunity for those aged 15 to 17 who aspire to become PADI Professionals. As one of the first dive centres offering this innovative pilot programme, we aim to equip young divers with the knowledge and skills necessary to progress toward the full Divemaster certification once they turn 18.
The Junior Divemaster course focuses on preparing young divers to become confident leaders in the water. Participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Training includes workshops, hands-on assessments, and supervised assistance with dive operations, enabling students to gain a comprehensive understanding of diving dynamics. The course structure encourages teamwork and communication, essential traits for anyone considering a future in diving leadership.
Throughout the programme, you will have opportunities to refine your water skills and gain insight into dive management. From setting up dive sites to assisting with safety briefings, you will learn to take on various roles that enhance your readiness for the full Divemaster course. By the end of your training, you will have logged 40 dives, allowing you to approach the transition to full Divemaster status with confidence.
Training occurs at multiple diving locations, providing diverse experiences and environments. Each site is selected for its suitability to the course objectives, ensuring you have ample opportunities to practice and apply your skills in real-world scenarios.
The various dive locations not only allow for practical application but also introduce you to the beauty and challenges of different underwater ecosystems.
To enrol in the Junior Divemaster course, participants must be at least 15 years old. The prerequisites include holding a current Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care certification completed within the past two years, having a logbook with a minimum of 20 dives at the start of the course (progressing to at least 40 dives for certification), possessing a medical statement confirming fitness to dive, and being certified as a PADI Rescue Diver.

Enrolling in the Junior Divemaster course here not only offers a comprehensive education but also grants you a FREE club membership for 12 months, valued at £95. To enrol, you must have logged at least 20 dives and be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver. You’ll need to complete a total of 40 dives by the end of the course to earn your Junior Divemaster certification.
If you haven’t yet completed the required number of dives, we can assist you in arranging additional dives before starting the course.
The course fee is £395, plus an additional £220 for the Divemaster eLearning materials. This fee covers equipment rental and tuition.
However, it does not include entry fees for dive sites (typically £15 - £22 per day) and air fills (ranging from £5 - £8 per fill). Be prepared for these additional costs when budgeting for your training.
Yes, upon successfully completing the course requirements, you will receive the PADI Junior Divemaster certification, recognising your skills and knowledge as a young diving leader.
This certification allows you to assist PADI professionals in various roles, paving the way for a seamless transition to full Divemaster status when you turn 18.
All essential equipment will be provided during the course, including tanks, weights, and wetsuits. While rental equipment will be available, we recommend investing in your own personal gear for comfort and familiarity.
Using your own equipment can enhance safety and enjoyment, especially as you gain more experience in diving.
Participants must complete a medical statement confirming their fitness to dive.
