Kids Splatmaster Paintball Session in Henfield – Ages 8-10

Playing in a live woodland means you should wear old but comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Although overalls are provided, it’s best to come prepared for mud and dirt. Supportive footwear, such as ankle boots or trainers, is important to protect your feet and ankles on uneven ground. 

For safety reasons, only the equipment provided by the organisers is permitted during play. This includes paintballs, which means bringing your own is not allowed. All gear is maintained to high standards to ensure fairness and player protection throughout the session.

Safety is the top priority during all children’s paintball sessions. Each player is provided with full head and face protection, including a head shield and goggles specifically designed for younger participants. The markers used fire low-impact .50 calibre paintballs, which are smaller and gentler than standard paintballs, reducing the risk of injury while still allowing for fun and competitive play.

Additionally, experienced marshals conduct a thorough safety briefing before the session begins, explaining the rules and demonstrating correct marker handling. These marshals remain with the group throughout the entire session, supervising gameplay closely to ensure all safety guidelines are followed and to assist players as needed.

Bringing your own food and drink is allowed, but all rubbish must be taken away with you to keep the site clean. For safety reasons, BBQs or any other heating devices are strictly prohibited because of the fire risk. Alcohol is also not permitted anywhere on site.

The venue aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, so respecting these rules helps maintain this for everyone attending.

Children use the JT Z200 Splatmaster paintball markers, which are lightweight and designed for younger players. These markers fire low-impact paintballs that break easily on contact, minimising discomfort while still providing a realistic paintball experience. Digital camouflage uniforms are provided to keep children comfortable and help protect their clothing.

All protective gear is maintained regularly to ensure it meets high safety standards. The equipment setup means kids can focus on having fun without worrying about the weight or handling of their markers, making it accessible for first-timers as well as those with previous experience.

Paintball sessions take place regardless of the weather conditions. If rain is expected, it’s advisable to bring waterproof clothing and wear supportive footwear suitable for woodland terrain. Being prepared will help you stay comfortable and enjoy the session.

In hot weather, marshals trained in heat safety monitor the players closely, ensuring regular breaks and opportunities to stay hydrated. The priority is always to keep everyone safe and comfortable no matter what the weather does.

While parents and guardians are welcome to stay on site during the session, safety regulations prevent spectators from entering the playing field. This is to ensure the marshals can focus fully on supervising the players and maintaining a safe environment without distractions.

There are designated safe zones and waiting areas nearby where adults can relax and observe. Staff are always available to answer any questions and provide updates about the session’s progress if needed.

Games are designed to be fun and engaging while remaining safe and manageable for 8 to 10-year-olds. The marshals lead children through a series of simple, easy-to-understand game scenarios in the main gaming arenas, encouraging teamwork and friendly competition.
