Henfield
Operated by South Coast Paintball, a partner of adventuro.

A full day of paintball across 50 acres of woodland offers hours of tactical team games, immersive objectives, and plenty of time to master each game zone. With flexible paintball packages available, from 300 to 1,000 rounds plus a smoke grenade, there’s an option for every play style and budget.
Game time is split between structured mission-based zones and more open-ended woodland battles. You’ll begin with a full safety briefing and gear issue before heading into the field. Each package comes with an initial allocation of paintballs (300, 500, or 1,000) and optional extras like a smoke grenade, depending on your selection. Expect high-energy rounds like Plane Crash, where teams must recover a payload from the crash site and transport it to enemy territory, or Stockade – Attack & Defend, which involves alternating offence and defence in a timed battle for control.
Other scenarios include The Bridge, where two teams fight to seize a centre flag from a narrow crossing point, and The Barricade Field, where double-flag rules demand both attack and defence strategies. When not playing in themed zones, your group will make use of large flag-to-flag woodland areas. These natural spaces encourage more freedom of movement and strategic team play. Marshals are always on hand to guide games, keep play fair, and offer tips throughout the day.
Located just off the A281 in Henfield (BN6 9EA), the site sits in the heart of the Sussex countryside and is within easy reach of towns across the South East. There’s ample parking available on site and clear signage leading to the venue. On arrival, players are checked in, briefed, and supplied with equipment by the experienced team.
The field layout spans 50 acres of mixed woodland and constructed game zones, creating varied terrain that suits players of all abilities. Facilities include a shop where you can buy extra paintballs, snacks, drinks, and upgrade items such as pyrotechnics (available to over-18s). Between games, players return to a base area to reload and get ready for the next scenario.
No previous paintballing experience is needed to take part. All players will receive a full briefing and be issued with protective equipment and safety gear before entering the field.
Comfortable, old clothes and supportive footwear are strongly recommended. While overalls are supplied, paintball is a messy activity and you may still get muddy. Only site-issued paintballs and equipment may be used during the session. For safety reasons, spectators are not allowed on the playing field.
This site is known for its quality and consistency, having been named Site of the Year in 2019. All equipment is sourced from Tippmann and maintained daily by trained technicians, ensuring safety and performance. Each game is run by experienced marshals who prioritise player safety and enjoyment.
Packages are designed to suit a range of budgets, whether you're booking a first-time visit or upgrading for maximum firepower. Customer reviews reflect the team’s commitment to providing a friendly, organised experience. On-site facilities include refreshments, equipment upgrades, and flexible options to help you get the most from your visit.
Playing in a live woodland means you should wear old but comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Although overalls are provided, it’s best to come prepared for mud and dirt. Supportive footwear, such as ankle boots or trainers, is important to protect your feet and ankles on uneven ground. There is a shop on site selling extra paintballs, pyrotechnics (for those over 18 only), food, and drinks, so you might want to bring some money with you to purchase these if needed.
For safety reasons, only the equipment provided by the organisers is permitted during play. This includes paintballs, which means bringing your own is not allowed. All gear is maintained to high standards to ensure fairness and player protection throughout the session.
The number of paintballs used varies widely between players depending on their style and game time. As a general guideline, between 300 and 500 paintballs should be enough for a half-day session. If you find yourself running low, additional paintballs can be purchased from the on-site shop throughout the day.
The shop also offers pyrotechnics (restricted to those aged 18 and over), snacks, and hot or cold drinks. Both cash and debit or credit cards are accepted, but it’s recommended to bring a physical card since mobile payment options may struggle with signal due to the rural location.
Bringing your own food and drink is allowed, but all rubbish must be taken away with you to keep the site clean. For safety reasons, BBQs or any other heating devices are strictly prohibited because of the fire risk. Alcohol is also not permitted anywhere on site.
The venue aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment, so respecting these rules helps maintain this for everyone attending.
Games run seven days a week, but weekday sessions (Monday to Friday) require a minimum of 20 players to go ahead. Weekend sessions are open to any group size, so you can book even if you are just one person or a small group. For weekday bookings with fewer than 20 players, it’s best to contact the team via the adventuro chat to discuss options.
Players are grouped according to age and numbers to keep games fair and enjoyable. Marshals typically organise separate games for juniors and adults where possible. Everyone must complete a declaration form before entering the venue. Spectators are not permitted on the playing field due to health and safety regulations, and marshals need to focus on managing players during games.
Paintball sessions take place regardless of the weather conditions. If rain is expected, it’s advisable to bring waterproof clothing and wear supportive footwear suitable for woodland terrain. Being prepared will help you stay comfortable and enjoy the session.
In hot weather, marshals trained in heat safety monitor the players closely, ensuring regular breaks and opportunities to stay hydrated. The priority is always to keep everyone safe and comfortable no matter what the weather does.
Paintball usage depends on how often you shoot and your style of play. For a full day session, most players use between 500 and 1,000 paintballs. The Hardcore package includes 1,000 paintballs and a smoke grenade, ideal for more active players or those wanting to make the most of the day. If you start with a smaller package, extra paintballs can be bought at any point from the on-site shop.
Paintballs are sold in batches, and the shop accepts both card and cash. For the best experience, it’s worth considering a larger package or setting aside extra budget to top up throughout the day. This gives you more freedom to play without worrying about running out mid-game.
