This challenging 6-night trek takes you through the heart of the Swiss Alps, with each day offering something new in terms of terrain, scenery, and adventure. You will spend your days hiking between 8-15 km on steep, alpine terrain, with ascents of up to 1500m. Your group will gather in Grindelwald on the first day at 4pm, where your guide will introduce the trip, followed by a group dinner (not included) to prepare for the adventure ahead.
As you journey through the Bernese Oberland, you’ll stay in a mix of quaint Swiss hostels and traditional mountain huts perched high in the mountains. The mountain huts, located at an altitude of 2800 metres, provide a real alpine experience with home-cooked meals and beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. One of the highlights of the trek is the Lauterbrunnen Valley, with its impressive waterfalls plunging down from towering cliffs. After several days of hiking, you’ll have the chance to cool off with a swim in one of the region’s most magnificent alpine lakes, with its turquoise waters reflecting the surrounding mountains.
