Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil - Armed
Your journey starts with a scenic drive from Marrakech, passing through Tahnaout, Moulay Brahim gorges, and Asni, arriving at Imlil. From Imlil (1,745m), venture on a 40-minute walk to Armed (2,000m), the last village in Imlil, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Armed - Toubkal Refuge
Begin your trek after breakfast, following the Toubkal valley. En route, visit the shrine of Chamharouch and traverse juniper forests. After a break and lunch at 2,800m, continue your hike to Toubkal Refuge (3,207m), where you will stay overnight.
Day 3: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal Summit
Ascend to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), navigating scree slopes and savouring panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, Marrakech, and Oudmane Valley. Descend via the same route or an alternative path (Ighibi North-West) to return to the refuge for another night.
Day 4: Toubkal Refuge - Armed - Marrakech
Descend early to Armed, pausing at the Chamharouch shrine. Enjoy lunch in one of the oldest houses in the valley and learn about traditional Berber crafts. Continue to Imlil for transport back to Marrakech, where you can explore landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden, and Jamaa El Fna Square, staying overnight in a riad.
Day 5: Marrakech - Airport
Conclude your adventure with transportation to Marrakech airport for your departure.
