Head into the Middle Atlas to see the Ouzoud Waterfalls, dropping more than 100 metres into a green valley and widely considered the tallest falls in North Africa. You'll spend the day moving between viewpoints, watching for Barbary macaques in the trees, and sitting down to a riverside lunch.
The drive from Marrakech takes around three hours, passing rolling hills, olive groves and Berber villages, with photo stops along the way. On arrival you'll take in the falls from several vantage points, with olive and cedar forest around you and a good chance of spotting the region's Barbary macaques.
Lunch is served at a traditional riverside restaurant looking toward the cascades, giving you time to sit before an afternoon of further viewpoints, local cafés and nearby villages. A small boat ride at the base of the falls is available as an optional extra if you want a closer look, before we return you to Marrakech in the early evening.
