Yes. A local lunch is part of this product. Treat it as a simple village meal rather than a set restaurant menu you can order from in advance.
Say if anyone has a food need when you confirm. Extra drinks beyond what the meal includes are your own to buy. Eat a light breakfast before pickup because the drive into the hills comes first.
Infant seats are available for the transfer. A river stretch and a waterfall hike are still a long, uneven day out of the hotel, so mention ages when you confirm your place so the guide can advise.
Pets are allowed, so say if you hope to bring an animal rather than arriving with one unannounced.
Wear comfortable walking clothes, shoes with grip, and sun protection. A light layer helps if the foothills are cooler than Marrakesh. Carry water for the trail even though lunch is included.
A small backpack for a camera, a hat and a spare layer is enough. You do not need technical mountain kit. Leave city sandals at the hotel.
No previous hiking is required. The day is paced as easy walking, but you should still be happy to walk on uneven village paths and hillside tracks for a stretch of a nine-hour window, including heat and dust.
Wear shoes with grip, not flip-flops. Say if anyone in the group prefers a slower pace so the guide can keep the private walk together. This is a village day, not a high-peak scramble.
The Atlas foothills can run in light heat or a breeze, but heavy rain, extreme heat or poor mountain-road conditions can change the day. The outing is mildly affected by weather rather than tied to a perfect blue sky.
If the guide judges the walk a poor idea, they may delay or change the plan. Have a loose idea for the rest of the day so a hold does not wreck the whole morning. You will be told as early as they can once conditions are clear.
