Two quiet days take you out of Kathmandu at 8:00, past Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, and into Balthali for a resort night and a campfire. We'll drive about an hour and a half to Namobuddha, walk about three and a half hours through rice terraces, then follow a dirt road to Panauti for lunch before the drive home. Ages 5 and up join this two-day hike.

Namobuddha is a pilgrimage village around Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, remembered as the place where a prince offered his body to a starving tigress and her cubs.
