This one-day programme develops the practical skills needed to respond effectively in medical emergencies. Through instructor-led workshops and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to assess situations calmly, provide essential care, and support someone until professional help arrives. The course is suitable for both divers and non-divers who want to strengthen their confidence in emergency response.
Training begins with an overview of emergency-response principles, including scene assessment, personal safety, and communication. Your instructor will guide you through the steps of primary care, ensuring you learn how to recognise life-threatening conditions and provide immediate assistance. This includes CPR practice, rescue breathing, and managing an unresponsive casualty.
You will then progress to secondary-care skills such as treating bleeding, stabilising suspected fractures, supporting someone who is choking, and managing shock. Workshops are interactive, using realistic scenarios that help you apply the techniques confidently. For those who add the e-learning option, the online content provides additional videos, reference materials, and structured knowledge reviews.
By the end of the session, you will understand how to stay calm under pressure, follow a clear sequence of actions, and provide effective support until medical professionals arrive. The certification is valid for two years and is recognised globally.
Training takes place at the Dubai centre, where classrooms are set up for practical, hands-on learning. The environment is designed to keep sessions relaxed while ensuring you receive clear instruction and enough time to practise each technique thoroughly.
Demonstrations and scenario-based exercises use simple, accessible equipment, allowing you to learn skills that translate directly to real-world situations in both everyday life and diving environments.
There are no age restrictions or prior qualifications required for this course. It is suitable for anyone who wants to increase their confidence in providing first aid.
For those planning to continue into the Rescue Diver or Divemaster pathways, EFR certification is required and must be kept current within the past 24 months.
This centre has trained thousands of divers and non-divers in emergency-response skills, with instructors known for their supportive approach and clear communication. Sessions are structured to ensure understanding before progression, allowing participants to learn at a pace that suits them.

Graduates consistently report increased confidence in handling unexpected situations both in and out of the water.
No. EFR is designed for both divers and non-divers. The skills taught—CPR, first aid, and emergency assessment—apply to any environment and are widely useful outside scuba-related scenarios.
The certification also fulfils the prerequisite for courses such as Rescue Diver and Divemaster.
E-learning is optional. If selected, you will receive access within 24 hours of booking. It covers key concepts through videos and interactive modules, helping you arrive prepared for the practical workshop.
Those who prefer to learn entirely in person can complete the course without the online component.
You’ll work through simulations that involve CPR, rescue breathing, managing choking, stabilising injuries, and supporting unresponsive casualties. The scenarios replicate real-world conditions to help you respond confidently under pressure.
Instructors provide step-by-step guidance and feedback throughout.
