Are you prepared for the unexpected? Could you provide first aid in an emergency situation? The Emergency First Response (EFR) Certification Course is essential for any diver and lays the foundation for the PADI Rescue Diver Course. This flexible course is designed to accommodate your training and scheduling needs, covering diver first aid and emergency responses for both children and adults. Learn and practice the same patient care techniques and principles used by medical professionals.
The course incorporates independent study, classroom lessons, and hands-on skill development with a dive instructor. You will receive an eLearning code via email to complete the classroom-based learning at your convenience. Upon completion, the practical element of the course takes place at one of our dive centres.
Primary Care (CPR) Training: You will learn the basic steps of a First Responder, including risk evaluation, injury assessment, rescue breathing, CPR, managing bleeding, responding to choking victims, managing shock, and successfully bandaging and applying splints. This combination of knowledge and skill development will give you the confidence to provide care in emergency situations, regardless of whether the accident is diving-related or not.
Secondary Care (First Aid) Training: This segment focuses on non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Through practising realistic scenarios, you will develop your first aid skills, including injury and illness assessment, bandaging, and applying splints for dislocations or fractures.
