Example Itinerary
Day 1 – Preparation and Setup
The course begins at 9:00 AM with a welcome, briefing, and equipment check. You'll receive assistance packing your rucksack, followed by a 2-3 hour hike to the chosen wild camping site. Upon arrival, you'll learn how to pitch your tent, set up your camp, and cook using camping stoves. The evening will focus on campcraft skills, navigation basics, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Day 2 – Skills in Action
On the second day, you’ll pack up camp and venture on a hike to practice your navigation and terrain skills. You’ll also focus on water sourcing, food preparation, and how to stay safe in the wilderness. For those on the 1.5-day course, this will be the final day, with the course ending at around 2:00 PM, including a final review of the skills learned. On the 2.5-day course, after lunch, you’ll continue your journey, with further exercises in navigation, campcraft, and shelter setups.
Day 3 – Review and Final Challenges
For participants on the 2.5-day course, the final day will involve putting all your skills into practice, with a hike to a new wild camping spot or peak. You’ll review everything you've learned, focusing on refining campcraft, navigation, and safety procedures. The course will conclude around 3:00 PM, with advice on future wild camping trips and expeditions.
