Paul has been guiding since 2003, turning his lifelong passion for the outdoors into a career dedicated to providing fun, adventurous, and educational experiences. Fully qualified as a Mountain Instructor (AMI) and Winter Mountain Leader, Paul combines professional expertise with decades of personal mountain adventures in the UK, Alps, and Himalayas.
His journey began as a determined six-year-old carrying his own rucksack around Buttermere and grew into a lifelong pursuit of climbing, mountaineering, and exploration. Paul has completed achievements like the Wainwrights round (twice), the Classic Rock ticks, and part of the Hard Rock climbs, all while steadily working through the Munros.
An advocate for high-quality gear, Paul is proud to partner with brands like Patagonia, Black Diamond, and Windermere-based Pacerpoles. He believes in not just guiding but also equipping others with the skills and confidence to embark on their own adventures. For Paul, the mountains are about challenges, learning, and most importantly, having a blast along the way.
