Quad tracks wait after the sunrise balloon, so the same Palmeraie countryside is seen first from the air and then from the ground. You'll fly for around an hour, have champagne and breakfast, then ride for about two hours with guides on rugged tracks and rural paths. The full outing runs about 8.5 hours including transfers.
Guides stay with you for both halves of the day, starting with the balloon crew at the Palmeraie launch after a 5:30 to 6am hotel or riad pickup. Your pilot takes the basket over the Palmeraie and nearby Berber villages for around an hour, then champagne and breakfast close the flight.
The quad session follows with a safety briefing, hire bike and kit, and about two hours on open tracks, palm groves and rural paths. Lunch is not included. If the balloon cannot fly, we will contact you early and the quad portion can usually still go ahead.
Palm groves and rural paths sit in the Palmeraie and surrounding countryside just outside Marrakech, so travel time between the launch field and the quad area stays short. You cover much of the same landscape twice, once from the basket and once on the bike.
The terrain is chosen to be manageable for first-time riders while still feeling properly off-road. Both activities stay in the Palmeraie and nearby Berber village countryside. That keeps the 8.5-hour day from turning into a long transfer between distant sites.
Riders need to be at least 16 years old for the quad, and a full driving licence may be required depending on local rules, so confirm that when you enquire. No prior ballooning or quad experience is needed, as both come with a briefing.
Comfortable closed-toe shoes and layered clothing help, given the cold start and the dust later. Younger family members may be able to join the balloon only, so pass ages through if your group is mixed.
From our Marrakech base we handle the early pickup, the gap between landing and the quad start, and the return to your hotel or riad. Local knowledge of the Palmeraie field and the riding tracks is what keeps those two activities in one day. You will not need a second booking or a separate transfer.
The mix is the point: a calm hour in the balloon with champagne and breakfast, then two guided hours on a quad through the same countryside. It suits anyone who wants both a slow sunrise and a more active afternoon in one outing.
Pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad is between 4:30am and 5:30am for the first flight. At the field you get welcome drinks, a safety briefing with the pilot, then around an hour in the air over palm groves and nearby Berber villages.
Riders for the quad half need to be at least 16. Younger family members may be able to join the balloon only, so share ages when you enquire.
After the flight you return to base for an open buffet breakfast and a flight certificate. This pause sits between the calm morning in the basket and the more active afternoon on the bikes.
If the balloon cannot fly, the team will contact you early. The quad portion can usually still go ahead as planned.

You are collected very early from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, usually around 5:30 to 6am, for the transfer to the Palmeraie balloon launch site. Many riads sit on pedestrian lanes, so the driver may park nearby and meet you on foot for the pre-dawn pickup.
After the quad biking session later in the day, you are dropped back at the nearest accessible point to your accommodation. Share your hotel or riad name and a mobile number when you enquire so pickup logistics stay simple.
