Embark on your freediving journey with our SSI Level 1 course, designed for ocean lovers who want to explore the underwater world more deeply. Over two days, you'll learn the fundamentals of freediving, including proper breathing techniques, relaxation, and efficient use of fins, to safely dive to depths of 10-20 meters.
Start with a breathing and relaxation session, followed by a dry breath hold practice. The morning concludes with the first confined water session. After lunch, dive into theory before embarking on the first open water session.
More advanced theory kicks off the day, followed by a second confined water session. Post-lunch, undertake the final open water session, then complete the course with a final exam and a celebratory photo session.
The course utilises both a controlled pool environment and open water settings to provide comprehensive training and real-world experience. The exact locations are chosen based on optimal conditions and safety.
Participants must be at least 12 years old with a moderate level of swimming proficiency and comfort in the water. No prior freediving experience is required, although familiarity with basic snorkeling or swimming is beneficial.
