Enjoy a relaxed four-hour water session where you can bring your own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and make the most of a well-managed lake environment. This option is ideal for confident paddlers who want time on the water without instruction, while still benefiting from on-site supervision and rescue cover. Facilities on site mean you can focus on paddling, socialising, and enjoying the space at your own pace.
On arrival, you’ll check in with the team and unload your craft close to the water, keeping things straightforward and efficient. After a brief safety check and confirmation of lake rules, you’ll be shown where to launch and can take to the water when ready. Buoyancy aids are required for all participants, with hire available if needed.
Once on the lake, you’re free to paddle at your own pace for the full session, whether that’s steady laps, practising manoeuvres, or simply spending time afloat with friends or family. The lake layout provides plenty of space, even during busier periods, and the presence of safety staff means support is always close by if required.
Changing rooms and hot showers are available throughout your visit, making it easy to warm up and change before heading home. Spectators are welcome to stay for the duration of the session, creating a friendly and social atmosphere while keeping safety as the top priority.
The session takes place at Upton Warren, a well-known watersports area in Worcestershire with easy road access from Bromsgrove, Droitwich, and surrounding towns. The site is set just off the main road, making arrival and unloading simple, even if you’re transporting larger craft.
Free customer parking is available across two on-site car parks, with designated disabled spaces close to the main facilities. Additional overflow parking is nearby when required, and bicycle racks are available for those arriving on two wheels. Clear signage on arrival helps guide you to check-in and launch points, keeping everything smooth from start to finish.
Participants must be able to swim confidently and feel comfortable spending extended time on open water. This is not a coached session, so paddlers should already have basic control of their chosen craft and understand how to manage themselves safely.
All craft must meet safety standards and remain within manufacturer weight limits. Only approved craft types are permitted, and all participants must wear a buoyancy aid at all times while on the water.
The team provides a supportive yet relaxed environment where independent paddlers can enjoy quality water access without unnecessary restrictions. Supervision and rescue cover are always in place, giving reassurance while still allowing you the freedom to paddle how you choose.
Flexibility is a key part of the experience, with sessions suitable for individuals, families, and small groups bringing their own equipment. The focus is on making lake access straightforward, safe, and enjoyable, backed by experienced staff and well-maintained facilities.
