For surfers who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their surfing beyond the white water!
With a maximum of only five students in a class you'll begin to work on new skills and techniques to unlock the next level of surfing. Depending on the conditions you could work on how to paddle beyond the white water waves, unbroken wave selection, board control, turning, and refining your pop-up with the aim of catching your first unbroken wave.
So whether you're looking to conquer your first green wave or refine your technique outback, this is the group lesson for you.
This surf school believes that your lesson starts from the moment you arrive! After a very warm welcome you can expect their team to check-in with you, calm any nerves, understand what you're looking for from your lesson that day, and encourage the right mindset for the session ahead.
After this, you’ll be kitted out in wetsuits, paired up with boards, and head to the beach. Before heading into the water, the instructor will assess conditions with the group and explain what skills you'll be working on that day. There'll also be a recap some key fundementals before moving onto the more advanced techniques and improvements in positioning and pop-up techniques.
Moving to the ocean you'll begin putting everything you learnt on the beach into practice with plenty of 1-on-1 coaching through this surf school’s unique “Focus Sessions” teaching method. “Focus Sessions” involve instructors spending 2-3 wave blocks with each participant, working with them on a particular skill or problem, which inevitably leads to a faster rate of progression.
Expect detailed feedback, lots of encouragement and a fair bit of laughter along the way! Plus, you’ll enjoy 10% off coffees, hot chocolates, pastries, and ice cream on the day of your lesson.
