Four and a half hours in a private car, with a driver-guide, is enough to link Majorelle Garden, the Koutoubia, the mellah, Bahia Palace and a walk through Jemaa el-Fna and the souks. Pickup is from your Marrakech hotel or riad, and drop-off is the same. This is sightseeing with transport, not an on-foot-only market walk.
A typical loop starts or ends with Majorelle Garden if you hold a timed ticket, then the Koutoubia from the gardens, a stroll in the mellah, Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou and time on Jemaa el-Fna and in the souks. Order follows opening hours and traffic more than a printed script.
Entrance tickets are extra. If the garden is sold out, those hours stay in the old city. There is no sit-down lunch in this format, which is the main difference from the full-day listing.

The format suits guests who already have a balloon morning or a late lunch and still want the classic city landmarks. It is not the seven-hour circuit. If you want lunch and more palace time, the full-day private city tour is the better match
Collection is from your hotel or riad, then a short drive to Gueliz when the garden is on the plan. Majorelle Garden is a walled landscape of cactus, water and cobalt walls created by Jacques Majorelle. Entry is ticketed and often timed online, so we aim this stop at the slot you hold rather than joining a walk-up queue. If you would rather skip it, the same hours open in the medina instead.
The Koutoubia minaret is viewed from the gardens and the square, not from inside the prayer hall. It is the city's tallest historic tower and a useful first orientation if you have not yet walked this part of town. The stop is short and outdoor, which helps if the half day is running against a garden slot.
A walk through the mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, shows a different street grain from the main tourist souks. Synagogue heritage and quieter residential lanes sit close to the palaces, so it fits a half day without a long extra drive. If this is not of interest, those minutes move to Bahia or the markets.
Bahia Palace is the main indoor monument on the half day: courtyards, painted ceilings and tilework from the late nineteenth century. Tickets are bought at the door. In a shorter outing we keep the visit moving so there is still time for the kasbah gate and the square afterwards.
Bab Agnaou opens into the royal kasbah. From the gate you see the Kasbah Mosque from outside and get a sense of the citadel streets. The stop is brief and works well as a hinge between palaces and the walk toward Jemaa el-Fna.
The last block is Jemaa el-Fna and the covered souks: crafts, spices and the lanes that feed the square. You walk with the driver-guide or browse on your own while the car waits at an agreed point. Keep bags close in the crowds, then return to your hotel or riad at the end of the half day.

Say before the morning if the garden is a must. We can aim the half day at a 9am to 12pm or 2pm to 5pm window. If tickets are gone, the same hours go to the mellah, palaces and souks instead.
This is a private car for your party, priced for the vehicle, not per seat. Up to 15 people can share it. A driver-guide stays with you for the block of time.
It is not an on-foot-only souk walk. You still leave the car to walk palaces, the garden and market lanes, but the transfers between Gueliz and the medina are by vehicle.
The mellah is Marrakech's historic Jewish quarter, with a different street pattern and synagogue heritage from the rest of the medina. A short walk there is part of the usual half-day loop.
If you would rather spend those minutes in the souks, say so at pickup. The half day is short, so every extra stop means something else gets lighter.
Children are welcome in a private vehicle, and infant seats can be requested if you give ages in advance. Palace floors and garden paths still need steady walking.
Four and a half hours is easier than a full day for younger guests, but midday heat in Marrakech is real. A morning slot is often kinder than a mid-afternoon one in summer.
