Sail along Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline on a four-hour shared catamaran cruise departing from Flamingo Marina. Snorkel in clear coastal waters, paddleboard or kayak in sheltered bays and enjoy freshly prepared snacks and drinks onboard. The trip concludes with a sunset sail back along the Guanacaste coast.
The cruise begins in the afternoon at Flamingo Marina on Costa Rica’s north Pacific coast. After boarding the catamaran, the crew provides a short briefing before sailing along the coastline where beaches, rocky headlands and forested hills define the landscape.
The catamaran anchors in a sheltered bay selected for safe swimming conditions. Guests can snorkel using the provided equipment or use kayaks and paddleboards to explore the surrounding water. Between activities, snacks and drinks are served onboard.
As the afternoon progresses, the boat resumes cruising along the coast while the sun begins to set over the Pacific Ocean. With drinks available and views across the coastline, the catamaran sails back toward Flamingo Marina, completing the four-hour experience.
Flamingo Marina sits on Costa Rica’s north Pacific coast within the Guanacaste region. This area is known for its warm water, seasonal marine wildlife and beaches backed by tropical forest.
Nearby coastal areas include Tamarindo, Conchal and Las Catalinas. Offshore waters form part of the Pacific marine ecosystem where snorkelling sites are chosen based on daily sea conditions.
No prior sailing or snorkelling experience is required. Guests who plan to snorkel or use paddleboards and kayaks should be comfortable entering the water from a boat.
Boarding requires stepping from the dock onto the catamaran. The vessel is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Infants must sit on an adult’s lap, and infant seats are unavailable. The tour is not recommended for travellers with back problems, heart conditions or for those who are pregnant.
Operating across multiple destinations and having hosted more than 50,000 travellers, this team specialises in structured coastal sailing trips with experienced crews and consistent safety procedures.
Transport logistics and guest communication are organised before departure, with pickup locations confirmed the day before the tour. The aim is to provide a straightforward half-day cruise combining snorkelling, water activities and sunset sailing.
