I think my granddaughter & partner found the return paddle quite hard against the stream but Rob their guide was really kind & understanding. Thank you Rob!

Prepare for a detailed exploration of Dartmouth and its beautiful coast, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Your adventure begins with a 30-minute orientation and equipment setup, ensuring everyone is comfortable and prepared. Our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into local history, geography, and wildlife, enhancing your journey with their expertise.
Once on the water, spend approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes paddling out to discover hidden coves, sea caves (on high tides), and spectacular cliffs. Feel the exhilaration of navigating through blue waters, accessing remote areas inaccessible by land. A highlight includes a break on a secluded beach where you can relax, swim, and savour a delightful snack amidst the scenery.

Throughout the trip, our guides adapt the experience to your preferences, ensuring an unforgettable adventure tailored to your group's interests and abilities.
Based in Dartmouth, our trips explore the beautiful coastline and estuary, offering unique perspectives and access to areas inaccessible by other means.
No prior kayaking experience is necessary. Our experienced guides will provide all necessary instruction and support throughout the trip.
At our centre in Dartmouth, founded in 2011 by Ben, we boast a team of over 15 experienced coaches and a diverse fleet of 40+ sea kayaks. Whether you're learning the ropes or refining your skills, our personalised approach ensures you get the most out of your adventure.
We provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages and abilities, enabling you to explore the coast's beauty with confidence.
YES! Pretty much everyone who gets into one of our Sea Kayaks is amazed at how easy it is. They are stable and they all have a retractable fin at the back so they track naturally in a straight line.
Even the least fit will glide along faster than walking speed with about the same amount of effort as riding a bike on the flat. Our super stable double kayaks also have a rudder at the back to make steering even easier.
What experience do I need?
You don’t need any experience at all, you don’t even need to be the sporty type or be able to swim.
In our comfortable, stable kayaks and under the expert guidance of our coaches you will quickly relax and enjoy your trip. For those who consider themselves to be fit and adventurous there is endless possibilities for excitement.
If it’s a hot day all you’ll need is shorts and t-shirt! However there is plenty of dry storage in the kayaks so please also bring…
A warm jumper and trousers (ideally not cottend (e.g. jeans) as it’s not as comfortable or warm if it gets wet)
A pair of shoes, sandals or flip-flops that you don’t mind getting wet
Pack lunch and drink for day trips; A snack and drink for half day trips
We usually have a break on a beach so bring swimming gear if you’d like to go for a splash!
You don’t need a wetsuit. It’s very rare that anyone falls in the water and it’s much more comfortable to paddle in light clothing.
For trips in the early spring, late autumn and winter, please bring plenty of warm outdoor clothing (fleece jumpers etc.) and a spare set of clothing. For our winter courses and trips you can use one of our Peak UK Adventure one piece drysuits.
We keep our group sizes small with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 people per instructor. If you are a larger group or 2 families who want to kayak together, that is no problem at all; you will simply have multiple instructors looking after you on the water.
If you would like to book a group of more than 6 people just send us a message via the adventuro chat below. They'll be happy to help!
Yes, our trips are suitable for ages 5 and up. We also have double kayaks available for younger participants or those less confident.

Yes, please bring packed lunch and drinks for day trips, or snacks and drinks for half-day trips. We often stop on a beach where you can enjoy a break.

We had a great time. The instructor made us feel constantly reassured that we were in good hands. He was also really knowledgeable about the area and able to introduce us to great opportunities to explore various caves and coves during our training.
