Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, this week-long hiking adventure takes you through some of Chamonix Mont Blanc’s most beautiful landscapes. Each day brings a new trail, leading to alpine lakes, dramatic glacier viewpoints, and high-altitude peaks. With expert guides and a luxury chalet to return to each evening, this trip strikes the perfect balance between challenge and comfort.
Each day, we’ll set off on a guided hike, covering distances of 8-15km with up to 1,000m of elevation gain. Our routes take us through some of the most scenic trails in Chamonix, passing alpine lakes, glaciers, and stunning mountain ridges. Some hikes will start with a lift to help us gain elevation, while others will involve a steady climb from the valley floor.
A highlight of the trip is a visit to Lac Blanc, one of the most famous lakes in the Alps, offering panoramic views of Mont Blanc and its surrounding peaks. We’ll also explore the Grand Balcon Sud, a gorgeous traverse along the valley, and hike into the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve, home to incredible wildlife and rugged mountain landscapes.
One of the most memorable moments will be taking the Aiguille du Midi cable car to 3,800m, where you’ll step out into a world of ice and rock with unbeatable views over the Mont Blanc massif. From here, we’ll have the option to take a high-altitude hike before descending back to the valley.
Along the way, we’ll stop at traditional alpine refuges, where you can enjoy a hot drink with a view, and we’ll have mountain picnics in remote, peaceful locations. One day is set aside as a rest day, giving you the chance to explore Chamonix at your own pace, visit local cafés, or take a short self-guided walk.
Each evening, we’ll return to our chalet, where you can relax and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner with the group. On some evenings, we’ll dine on the terrace, taking in the views as the sun sets over the peaks.
