This four-day route follows the classic Marrakech to Merzouga road over the High Atlas and through Dades valley country. Gorge viewpoints and kasbah stops break the long transfer days before Erg Chebbi. An evening camel ride onto the dunes and a camp night are the desert highlight before return west.
Day one climbs Tizi n'Tichka with stops at Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, then continues toward Dades for a guesthouse night in the valley. Day two walks Todra Gorges between towering walls and drives east to Merzouga town, where you sleep in a hotel before the dunes rather than arriving exhausted for the camel ride.
Day three is the camel ride into Erg Chebbi camp for sunset, dinner and music under the stars. Day four brings sunrise on the sand, the ride back and the return via the Draa Valley and Atlas pass to Marrakech, usually by evening with kasbah photos and desert memories from a route spread across four full days.
This is the classic southern loop with extra time for gorges and a rested arrival at the dunes rather than one long push east. Ait Benhaddou, Dades, Todra and Erg Chebbi are the headline stops on one of Morocco's best-known scenic roads.

You walk Todra Gorges, where the cliffs rise high above the palmery, then continue through Tinjdad, Erfoud and Rissani. In the late afternoon you leave your bags at a Merzouga hotel and ride camels for about 90 minutes to camp.
Night two is in tents on Erg Chebbi, with dinner and drums after sunset.

You'll be collected from your hotel or riad in Marrakech around 8.30am on day one. The first day crosses Tizi n'Tichka toward Ait Benhaddou and Dades.

Night one is a hotel in Dades after the Atlas crossing. Night two is a tent camp on Erg Chebbi after the camel ride. Night three is a hotel on the return through Dades or Ouarzazate.
