Enjoy a two-day mountain trek through the High Atlas, hiking across alpine meadows, volcanic formations, and scenic passes. Take in sweeping valley views, peaceful waterfalls, and spend a night in Imlil Valley with authentic local hospitality.
Day one begins with a hotel pickup in Marrakech and a scenic drive to Imlil Valley at 1,700 m. Meet your local guide and hike through fragrant pine forests toward Tidli Pass, stopping to admire panoramic views of Imlil Valley, Mount Toubkal, and surrounding peaks. Continue across volcanic rocks and glacial formations toward Armed Village, pausing to take in the landscapes.
A traditional Berber lunch on a rooftop in the village allows interaction with locals and sampling authentic Moroccan cuisine. In the afternoon, hike to the picturesque Imlil Waterfalls before returning to your guesthouse in the valley for dinner and an overnight stay. Day two begins with breakfast, followed by the ascent to Tizi Tamatert Pass, offering sweeping views over the Imnan and Tachdirt Valleys. After lunch at the pass, descend to Imlil Valley to meet your driver for the return trip to Marrakech.
High Atlas Mountains are Morocco’s premier trekking destination, combining rugged peaks, alpine meadows, and glacial valleys. Traditional Berber villages along the route offer cultural insight and authentic local experiences amidst spectacular natural settings.
Imlil Valley serves as an ideal base for trekking, with waterfalls, meadows, and passes all within reach. The region allows for immersive mountain experiences with easy access from Marrakech, blending adventure with comfort and scenic beauty.
Overnight accommodation is provided in a welcoming local guesthouse in Imlil Valley. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with clean bedding and bathroom facilities. After a day of hiking, you can relax in a warm, friendly atmosphere while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains.
Meals at the guesthouse include breakfast and dinner, featuring authentic Berber recipes with local ingredients. The combination of comfort, authenticity, and mountain charm makes the stay a memorable part of your two-day adventure.
A moderate level of fitness is recommended for walking on uneven terrain across both days. Participants should be comfortable with several hours of hiking each day at altitude.
Hiking shoes, layered clothing, sun protection, and a small backpack for personal items are recommended. While guidance is provided, participants should bring personal essentials such as water, snacks, and cameras.
Experienced local guides ensure a safe, well-paced trek while sharing knowledge of the Atlas Mountains’ flora, fauna, and Berber culture. Their expertise ensures access to the best viewpoints, trails, and local interactions.
Small groups and personalised attention make the journey enjoyable, with a mix of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and authentic hospitality providing a unique and memorable adventure.
The meeting point is in Marrakech, with pick-up and drop off available from your hotel.

Panoramic vistas of the Atlas Mountains, alpine meadows, and glacial valleys dominate the route. Tidli and Tizi Tamatert Pass provide sweeping mountain panoramas, while Imlil Valley offers lush greenery against rugged peaks.
Waterfalls, pine forests, and volcanic formations add variety. Villages along the route give insight into local life amidst the mountains, creating a mix of natural and cultural experiences.
Birds such as raptors and smaller alpine species are common, and mountain goats or small mammals may be spotted along the trails. Wildflowers and pine forests provide habitat for a variety of insects and local fauna.

Children aged 12 and above can participate, provided they have sufficient stamina. Guides adapt the pace and provide extra breaks to accommodate younger hikers.

The highlight of our trip to Morocco was the two days we spent in the Atlas Mountains, organised by Mohamed Adventuro, we left Marrakech unaware of just how beautiful and friendly this part of the world would be. Two days hiking around the mountains in the shadow of Mount Toubkal,…
The actual trip was fantastic overall- Rachid picked me up as planned and we went up to Imlil. However, the route was not as described in the Adventuro listing and was hard work (745 metres ascent total in 12.5km, the last 5km being about 500m ascent all uphill) not a…
My friend and I had an amazing time on our guided trail run in the Atlas Mountains. Our guide was the local 10km trail champion and he adjusted to the distance and pace we wanted to run, taking us on a beautiful trail through the mountains and villages. A delicious…
We had a fantastic trail run in the Atlas Mountains. We did 20km with 1000m elevation gain. The scenery was incredible. Our guide was able to run at any pace and the trails chosen were great. The lunch afterwards was also delicious. Would highly recommend and wish I could do…
