Lodge-to-lodge comfort frames four full walking days from Ouirgane parkland through the Azzaden valley to Imlil and Imnane passes. Named stops such as Ouirgane Ecolodge, Azzaden Trekking Lodge and Dar Adrar near Imlil replace basic refuges, so you can dry kit and rest properly after long trail legs with ensuite or lodge-standard rooms where available.
Dedicated cooks and mule caravans handle food and bags, freeing evenings for rest rather than supply runs in remote hamlets. The walking distances match classic village treks across Tizi Mzzik and Tamatert; only the overnight standard changes, with three meals daily on the trail and wine often available to buy at lodges.
Partner lodges meet consistent comfort standards while mountain guides keep the same safety briefings used on camping departures. Daily routes flex with season and group ability without sacrificing the core pass crossings.
Ideal when you want Atlas immersion with proper beds after long trail days, not a stripped-back camping feel. One itinerary covers transport, meals, mule support and lodge nights from Marrakech to final drop-off.
Southbound drive from Marrakech enters Ouirgane parkland where the first walk begins. Pass Marigha with juniper slopes ahead before reaching Ouirgane Ecolodge.
Dinner at the lodge sets you up for the Azzaden leg. Walking time is typically 4 to 5 hours. Meals included: lunch and dinner.
A steady climb carries you into the Azzaden valley with mule support for main bags. Walnut groves and red earth villages mark the approach.
Overnight at Azzaden Trekking Lodge. Walking time is typically 5 to 6 hours. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cross Tizi Mzzik with wide ridge views before descending toward Imlil. The day mixes a rewarding pass with a gentler finish into Dar Adrar.
Walking time is typically 6 to 7 hours. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A circular walk via Tamatert and Agersioual completes the loop above Imlil. Lunch is taken on the trail before you meet the vehicle.
Return transfer to Marrakech, usually arriving mid to late afternoon. Walking time is typically 4 to 5 hours. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Private transport from your Marrakech stay collects you at an agreed time, usually in the morning. Narrow medina lanes may mean a short walk to the vehicle.
At the end of day 4 you are dropped at the nearest accessible point to your hotel or riad. If needed, the driver can coordinate with your accommodation so someone is ready to meet you.
Most trekking kit can be rented in Imlil if you prefer not to travel with full mountain gear.

Narrow medina lanes may mean a short walk to the vehicle. You are dropped similarly at the end of day four, with help coordinating riad access if needed.
Moderate trekking fitness is enough if you are happy walking most of the day between lodge stops. Distances match classic village treks even though beds are more comfortable.
Small groups of up to eight receive attentive leadership on passes and at lodge check-in. Share mobility needs when you book so we can plan room access and pacing.
Nights are in named lodges or equivalent guesthouses such as Ouirgane Ecolodge, Azzaden Trekking Lodge and Dar Adrar near Imlil.
Standards are higher than basic village gites while remaining authentically Atlas. Exact rooming can shift with season while the lodge circuit stays the same.
Lodge kitchens and trail cooks provide three meals daily while you walk between properties.
Wine is usually available to buy at lodges; it is not included in the trek fee. Vegetarian and other diets can often be arranged with notice.
Mules transfer luggage between lodges so you walk with only a daypack on pass days.
Keep evening clothes and chargers in the bag that travels on the mule train. Your daypack holds water, layers and anything you need on the trail.
Evening cool air at lodges calls for a warm layer; daytime kit matches standard Atlas trekking lists.
Comfortable shoes for lodge terraces are a nice extra after long walking days. Rental gear is available in Imlil for anything you do not want to fly with.
Travel insurance with hiking cover is advised; comfortable lodges do not remove ordinary mountain risks on pass days.
Confirm your policy covers multi-day trekking on steep terrain and any road evacuation you might need between lodges.
Couples and small private groups fit the lodge model well; solo travellers pay the one-person rate.
Honeymoon-style private circuits can be arranged on request when you want a slower pace or extra time at each lodge.
Atlantic fronts can bring drizzle in Ouirgane oak woods, so waterproofs are essential.
Indoor lodge lounges offer a dry place to wait out short storms before the next leg. Guides may shorten a pass day if wind or visibility is poor.
Lodge rooms are limited; confirm dates early, especially for spring and autumn departures.
Seven days’ notice is a practical minimum so each property can hold beds for your party. We will suggest alternatives if your first choice is full.
