We had a fantastic morning on the river, the sun was shining and Andy was very helpful in his advice of where we could get to in the time we’d booked. All equipment and facilities great too, very handy to have lockers to leave some bags behind. Would definitely recommend!

Experience the River Thames at your own pace with a custom paddling tour. Choose from kayaks, SUPs, or canoes and enjoy a relaxed adventure tailored to your group, guided by experienced instructors who know the river inside out.
Start with a short briefing on equipment and safety before heading out onto a scenic stretch of the non-tidal River Thames. The calm waters make it perfect for mixing and matching your chosen vessels, whether you want to paddle a kayak, SUP, or canoe.
Your guide will tailor the route to suit your preferences, highlighting wildlife, local history, and charming riverside spots. There are options for shorter trips or a full-day excursion, giving you flexibility to enjoy the river however you like.
The tour launches from a private pontoon on the River Thames in West Molesey, Surrey. This stretch is ideal for beginners and offers easy access to islands, beaches, parks, and locks, plus riverside pubs, cafes, and restaurants for a break along the way.
The surrounding area is peaceful and scenic, giving you a chance to paddle at your own pace while taking in the natural beauty of the river and its wildlife.
No previous paddling experience is needed. The booking must be made by an adult aged 18+, but there is no age limit for the rest of the group, making it suitable for families or groups of friends.
Participants should be comfortable on the water and able to follow instructor guidance. All safety equipment is provided to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
This local company is led by experienced paddlers who know the River Thames thoroughly. Small group sizes and personalised guidance mean every tour is tailored to your skill level and interests.
Certified by Paddle UK and BSUPA, the team adheres to strict safety standards while creating a fun and engaging river experience. Their knowledge and enthusiasm ensure that each tour is safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
No, our paddling tour is suitable for beginners, with no previous experience necessary.
We recommend dressing for the weather with layered, quick-drying sportswear. Avoid cotton clothing, particularly denim jeans, as they can become heavy and cold when wet.
We are based on the towpath in West Molesey. It’s an easy place to walk and cycle to and we encourage all our customers to do that if possible – we have plenty of space for bike storage.
If you are driving, the nearest free public parking is at Hurst Park.
An incredibly easy water sport to learn, SUP can be picked up quite quickly, with many becoming expert paddle boarders in no time at all.
No matter your age or fitness level, paddleboarding is accessible to all.
That depends…
Kayak paddling is often thought to be easier you’re sitting down! Most recreational kayaks are pretty stable and easy to paddle and you use a paddle with a blade at either end which means you’ll travel further, faster with the same amount of effort compared to paddling a board.
Kayaking is great for longer distances due to added comfort.
Having said that, paddleboarding is not hard! Most people are able to stand during their first lesson and start to understand the joys of stand-up paddling.
It’s a relaxing way to spend time with family and friends and helps improve your fitness, both physically and mentally.
