Get started with windsurfing or improve your technique with a focused 3-hour session on the water. This course is designed to help you build the skills needed to handle equipment confidently and progress towards independent practice. Whether you’re new or looking to refine your technique, the session is adapted to suit your level.
The session begins on land with a practical introduction to the equipment and conditions. You’ll learn how to set up and handle the board and sail, along with key safety points and how to move the equipment correctly. Beginners will focus on the fundamentals, while those with experience will spend more time refining technique and preparing for more advanced manoeuvres.
Once on the water, you’ll start putting these skills into practice. Beginners work on balance, steering, and controlling the sail, gradually building confidence as they move across the water. Intermediate and advanced participants focus on improving turns, control in different wind conditions, and smoother manoeuvres. Throughout the session, instructors provide ongoing feedback, helping you make steady progress and feel more comfortable handling the equipment independently.
Sessions take place in the Can Pastilla area of Palma de Mallorca, along the sheltered waters of Playa de Palma. This location is well suited to windsurfing, offering open space and generally manageable conditions that work well for both beginners and those progressing their skills.
The meeting point is on the beachfront, with easy access to the water and plenty of space to practise safely. Conditions can vary depending on the day, so sessions are planned to make the most of the available wind while keeping the experience suitable for your level.
Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim confidently. No previous windsurfing experience is required for beginner sessions, while intermediate and advanced participants should have some prior experience to build on.
This activity is not recommended for children under 6 years old, pregnant individuals, or those with swimming difficulties. A basic level of fitness is helpful, as windsurfing involves balance, coordination, and repeated movement.
The course is structured to help you gain practical, usable skills within a single session, with clear guidance throughout. Instructors focus on helping you understand both the equipment and the conditions, so you leave with the confidence to continue practising on your own.
Based in Palma de Mallorca, sessions benefit from accessible conditions and a reliable setup on the beachfront. With quality equipment and experienced coaching, the aim is to help you progress in a straightforward and supportive way.
Yes, the course is designed to introduce beginners to windsurfing in a clear and manageable way. You’ll start with the basics, including equipment handling, balance, and understanding how to control the sail.

Yes, the course also caters to intermediate and more experienced participants. Instructors will adapt the session so you can focus on improving specific skills such as turning, control, and handling different wind conditions.
This makes it a good option if you’ve tried windsurfing before and want to become more confident or consistent on the water.
Many participants reach a level where they can practise independently after completing the session. You’ll learn the core skills needed to control the board and sail safely.
However, progression depends on individual ability and conditions on the day. Some people may benefit from additional sessions to build further confidence.
You should bring swimwear to wear under your wetsuit, along with a towel and dry clothes for afterwards. Bringing water is also recommended to stay hydrated during the session.
If it’s sunny, applying sunscreen beforehand is a good idea. Try to keep personal belongings to a minimum, as storage options may be limited on the beach.
Windsurfing depends on suitable wind conditions, so sessions are planned carefully. If conditions are not suitable, the session may be adjusted or rescheduled.
This ensures that you get the most out of your time on the water and can practise in conditions that allow for proper learning and progression.
Windsurfing requires balance, coordination, and some upper body effort, particularly when handling the sail. You’ll be active throughout the session, which can feel tiring at times.
That said, the pace is manageable, and you can take short breaks when needed. Most people find it enjoyable and accessible, even if it’s their first time.
