Take on a giant stand up paddleboard built to carry a whole group at once, perfect for a birthday, a get together with friends, or simply doing something different together on the water. Everyone paddles as one team, working out a rhythm together as you go.
After a short briefing on handling the giant board as a group, everyone climbs aboard together and works out how to paddle in a shared rhythm, which is often the trickiest and funniest part of the session. Once the group finds its balance, the board moves surprisingly well along the calm water of the bay.
With no set route to follow, groups are free to paddle along the shoreline, stop for photos, or simply enjoy the novelty of being on such a large board together. It works well for celebrations, team outings, or families wanting to try something a bit different from a standard paddleboard session.
Can Pastilla sits along the calm, sheltered waters of Playa de Palma, a setting well suited to a large group board where stability matters more than speed. The shallow water close to shore also makes getting on and off the board considerably easier.
A long promenade of bars and restaurants runs behind the beach, making it easy to continue a celebration or group outing after the session finishes. Public transport and parking are both within easy reach, which helps when coordinating a larger group.
No previous paddleboarding experience is needed, since the giant board is stable and the session is more about group coordination than individual skill. A reasonable level of comfort in the water is helpful, given that falling in as a group is a common and expected part of the fun.
Because the board needs a minimum number of people to balance and move properly, groups of at least 4 are required, up to a maximum of 8. Anyone with balance or mobility concerns should consider whether a standard paddleboard hire might suit them better.
The giant board is built specifically for group use, rather than being an oversized version of a standard paddleboard, so it handles well even with several people moving around on it at once. Life jackets and a full safety briefing are included as standard.
Booking this as a group activity gives friends, families, or colleagues a genuinely different way to spend time together on the water, with the shared challenge of paddling as one team adding to the fun rather than getting in the way of it.
