This four-day programme provides the training and experience required to earn an internationally recognised diving certification. Through a mix of e-learning, confined-water skills, and open-water dives, you’ll build the knowledge and competence needed to dive safely and confidently. The course is paced to support steady progress while allowing enough time for thorough skill development.
Your course begins with PADI e-learning, which introduces essential theory including dive physics, physiology, equipment, and safety practices. You will need to complete the first three chapters before arriving for your first in-water session. This online section includes videos, quizzes, and interactive content that prepare you for the practical training ahead. The remaining theory is completed alongside your in-water learning.
Confined-water sessions take place at controlled training areas on Palm Jumeirah or similar sites selected for predictable conditions. Across five confined-water dives, you’ll learn the core skills needed for open-water diving—buoyancy, controlled ascents and descents, regulator recovery, alternate air-source use, and equipment handling. Instructors monitor progress closely and provide clear demonstrations to help you develop stable, repeatable technique.
Your open-water section consists of four dives completed over two sessions. Here, you’ll apply the same fundamental skills in a natural environment, practising navigation, buoyancy, and communication while exploring Dubai’s underwater landscapes. Each dive builds on the last, helping you grow confident in depth management, air monitoring, and situational awareness. Successful completion of both theory and practical elements results in PADI Open Water certification.
Training takes place at various Dubai sites chosen for clarity, access, and suitability for new divers. Confined-water areas offer calm, shallow sections where skills can be repeated until mastered. This ensures you are prepared before moving into deeper water.
Open-water dives are held at local reefs and coastal areas with gentle topography and consistent visibility. These sites provide real-world conditions without overwhelming new learners, helping you develop essential skills while still enjoying the marine environment.
You must be at least 10 years old, able to swim comfortably, and medically fit to dive. A standard medical questionnaire is required, and some participants may need doctor approval before beginning practical sessions.
Completing the first three e-learning chapters before your first session is essential, as it provides the theoretical foundation for the skills practised during training. No prior diving experience is needed.
With over a decade of experience training divers of all ages, this centre has built a reputation for clear instruction, responsibility, and supportive progression. Instructors take care to ensure every student understands the “why” behind each skill, making the transition between confined and open water smooth and positive.
A focus on community and professionalism underpins the entire programme. Clean, organised facilities and well-maintained equipment help create a learning environment where students feel comfortable. The emphasis on teamwork and safety ensures that each diver leaves with strong foundational skills and confidence to dive globally.
Most learners complete the e-learning portion in 4–6 hours, though this varies based on study pace. Chapters include videos, diagrams, and quizzes to reinforce understanding.
You must complete the first three chapters before your first practical session. The remaining sections can be completed alongside your in-water training.
The course includes a full range of PADI-required skills such as buoyancy control, regulator recovery, emergency weight drop, alternate air-source breathing, and controlled ascents. These are introduced in confined water before being practised again in open water.
Your instructor ensures each skill is completed confidently and consistently before signing it off.
No. While many students choose to complete them consecutively, you may spread the sessions over different days as long as all training is completed within six months. This flexibility is useful for those balancing work or travel.
Instructors will help coordinate a schedule that fits your availability.
It is common for students to take extra time with buoyancy, mask clearing, or other technical skills. Instructors provide repeated demonstrations, slower pacing, and controlled adjustments until you feel comfortable.
There is no penalty for requiring additional practice, and your training simply continues at a pace suited to your progress.
Dive sites are chosen according to daily conditions, student experience, and the skills being assessed. Instructors prioritise locations with stable depth gradients, good visibility, and clear entry points.
This ensures a controlled learning environment while still offering enough marine life and structure to make the dives engaging.
Each open-water dive incorporates a set of required skills followed by general exploration. You will practise buoyancy, navigation basics, communication, and safe ascent procedures.
After the skills portion, you will have time to observe coral structures and marine species native to Dubai’s coastline.
Yes. PADI Open Water certification is globally recognised and allows you to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres. Many divers continue to Advanced Open Water to extend their depth limit further.
Your certification never expires, though periodic refreshers are recommended if you take a long break from diving.
To maintain safety and effective instruction, groups are kept small. This ensures adequate supervision during both confined-water and open-water sessions.
Class sizes may vary slightly by day, but instructor-to-student ratios always follow PADI standards for beginner training.
All essential equipment is included. You are welcome to bring your own mask or snorkel if you have a preferred fit, but this is optional.
Any specific gear upgrades—such as a full-face mask or additional dives—can be added separately.
You must complete all required confined-water skills, all four open-water dives, the e-learning final exam, and the dive table or RDP exam. Your instructor will prepare you thoroughly during theory reviews.
Once all components are completed, your certification is processed through PADI and available digitally via the app.
