🌊 What to Expect

Arrival takes place at Kendwa Beach where your crew welcomes you on board the 45 foot catamaran. Boarding happens directly from the sand before you settle into the boat’s shaded seating area or relax on the front nets. Shortly after departure, a welcome drink is served while the catamaran begins a steady sail along the coastline. The route follows the stretch of water between Kendwa Beach and Nungwi Beach, an area known for calm seas and clear evening skies.

As the cruise continues, unlimited drinks from the open bar are available while light snacks and fresh fruit are served on board. Island music plays softly in the background as the boat drifts offshore near Nungwi, creating a comfortable place to watch the sun gradually lower toward the horizon. Many guests choose to relax on the bow nets during this time, while others prefer the shaded deck where they can enjoy the changing colours across the water.

Once the sun has set, the catamaran begins the return journey toward Kendwa Beach. The evening breeze and fading light create a relaxed atmosphere while guests take final photos and enjoy the last drinks of the cruise. The boat arrives back on the beach where you disembark directly onto the sand to end the experience.

📍 Location

Kendwa Beach sits on the northern coast of Zanzibar and is known for its wide sandy shoreline and clear water. Unlike many other areas of the island, Kendwa is less affected by tidal changes, which makes it a reliable departure point for boat trips throughout the day and evening.

The cruise route follows the coast between Kendwa and nearby Nungwi, another well known fishing village at the northern tip of the island. This stretch of coastline offers open views across the Indian Ocean and is a popular area for sunset sailing due to the clear western horizon.

✅ Prerequisites

Guests should be comfortable stepping onto the catamaran from the beach as boarding takes place directly from the sand. Crew members assist during boarding and disembarking to ensure everyone gets on and off the boat safely.

The cruise is designed to be relaxed and suitable for most travellers. However, it may not be suitable for pregnant guests or those with mobility limitations due to beach boarding and movement on the boat.
