Morning or afternoon, a tandem paragliding flight fits neatly into a holiday in Marrakesh. Atlantic coast and Atlas foothills scenery sit within an easy transfer of your hotel, with activity bases just beyond the main resort roads. Block out about 5 hours including collection and treat it as a proper outing rather than a rushed add-on.
At take-off you meet the tandem pilot, harness up and run a few steps until the wing lifts. The flight lasts long enough to take in Atlas ridges, valleys or lake views before a gentle landing on the slope or beach below. Weather windows are narrow, so flights run when wind speed and direction suit tandem launches. Take-off is a short run on the slope until the wing lifts, with the pilot controlling the flight from harness to landing.
A short briefing covers harness fit and how to land softly with the pilot in full control. Atlas foothills and lake views open up once you are airborne, with a calm pace rather than aerobatic manoeuvres. You return to your hotel or meeting point after the last active section, with transfer time built into the overall length.
Marrakesh sits inland at the edge of the High Atlas, with the medina, palm groves and stone desert all within a short drive. Stables, quad bases and balloon fields lie in the Palmeraie plantations or Agafay desert rather than in the city centre.
Resort pickup spans the familiar Marrakesh coastal hotels, with return transfer after the session. Distances along the strip mean vans can arrive in a range rather than a single minute, so eat before you leave if you have an early start.
Prior experience is not expected for most participants. You should be comfortable following a guide and happy with the physical side of the activity.
Comfortable activewear, sunscreen and closed shoes cover most needs. Say any medical conditions or dietary needs when you confirm your place.
Door-to-door collection keeps logistics off your plate from a Marrakesh resort base. The crew handle inflation, safety checks and field logistics so you focus on the flight itself.
Routes adjust to heat, wind and sand conditions rather than forcing a fixed loop in poor weather. That flexibility helps you get the safest, most enjoyable session available.
We'll collect you from your Marrakesh hotel and take you to the start point. Be ready with the kit listed for this session and any voucher details. The crew talk through safety, timing and how the paragliding will run before you head out.
The core of the day is guided paragliding time in the Morocco scenery. Stay with your group, listen to the briefing and ask if you want a slower pace or extra help with kit. Listen to paddle commands, spacing advice or riding tips from your guide and stay with the group unless told otherwise.
Take a breather between active sections, drink water and check kit with your guide before continuing with the second part of the session. Your guide stays close throughout and can slow the pace if you want extra help with kit, spacing in the water or a quieter route on the trail.
After the last section you transfer back to your hotel in Marrakesh. The whole experience is about 5 hours door to door, so keep the rest of your schedule flexible. Gather your belongings, thank the crew and double-check you have towels, dry clothes and anything you left on the boat or at the base before you leave.
Yes. Collection from hotels in the Marrakesh area is part of this experience. Give your hotel name when you book so the driver can find the right gate, and be ready in the window you are given.
Build the whole 5-hour shape into your day rather than planning something tight immediately afterwards. Traffic along resort roads can slow the van.
No previous experience is required for this paragliding. Your guide briefs you before you start and stays close while you try the activity.
Say if you are nervous or a weak swimmer so the crew can pace the session and offer flotation where it helps.
Light refreshments may be offered depending on the format. Carry water and a snack if you eat breakfast early.
Soft drinks beyond what is served may be extra. Bring cash if you want extras on the boat or at the base.
Practical kit is swimwear or comfortable clothes for the activity, sun protection and a towel. Closed shoes help on boats and in the desert.
A dry bag keeps phones off wet decks. Reef-safe sunscreen matters on long days in the Marrakesh sun.
Activity equipment is provided for the session. Bring your own mask or riding boots only if you prefer gear you already know.
Fit helmets, life jackets or harnesses before you start so you are not adjusting them mid-session. Ask when you book if you need a slower pace or extra briefing time on the day.
This runs for groups from 1 to 15 people. Smaller groups mean more attention from your guide on the water or in the dunes.
Private formats keep the whole boat or vehicle to your party. Follow the guide's spacing in the water and on trails.
About 5 hours including collection and the main activity time. Keep the whole window free rather than squeezing other plans around it.
A late appearance at reception or the meeting point shortens time on the activity because the session leaves with the group.
Families are welcome when children are comfortable with the activity format. Infant seats may be available on transfers where listed.
Say ages when you book so the crew can plan seating, kit sizes and pacing on the water or in the desert.
This activity needs workable conditions. If wind, sea state or sand storms rule it out, the crew may reschedule or switch sites.
You will be told as early as they can once morning conditions are clear. Have a loose plan for the rest of the day.
Give your hotel name and a reachable phone number when you book. We'll confirm the pickup window or meeting pin closer to the day.
Notes are the place for dietary needs, ages, or a later pickup if you have an evening plan after the session.
