Bring your own kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and enjoy four hours of relaxed lake access in a managed watersports setting. This option suits confident paddlers who want unstructured time on the water while still benefiting from supervision and rescue cover. With on-site facilities available throughout the session, it’s easy to settle in and make the most of your time afloat.
You can arrive at any point from 11:00 to begin your session, with the final launch onto the water at 14:00. After checking in at the lakeside office, the team will confirm your session details, ensure buoyancy aids are worn, and run through the key lake rules before directing you to the launch area. From there, you’re free to get on the water when it suits you.
Once launched, the lake is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Some paddlers prefer steady laps and quiet time on the water, while others use the space to practise balance, turning, or paddling efficiency. With qualified supervision present throughout, help is always nearby if needed, without interrupting your independence.
Changing rooms and showers remain open for the duration of the session, allowing you to warm up and get changed whenever you’re ready. Spectators are welcome to stay on site, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere while keeping the focus firmly on safe paddling.
The session takes place at Lower Moor, within a well-established holiday park setting in rural Worcestershire. The lake is surrounded by open countryside, offering a spacious environment that feels calm even during busier periods.
Free parking is available on site, with clear signage guiding you to the lakeside facilities and check-in point. The layout makes unloading equipment straightforward, and everything you need is within a short walk of the water’s edge.
Participants must be able to swim confidently and feel comfortable spending extended time on open water. As this is not an instructed session, paddlers should already have basic experience with their chosen craft.
All equipment must meet safety standards and stay within manufacturer weight limits. Only permitted craft types are allowed on the lake, and wearing a buoyancy aid is mandatory for all participants at all times.
The experience is designed for paddlers who value flexibility and freedom, while still appreciating the reassurance of professional supervision. The team maintain a friendly, approachable presence, ensuring safety without creating a restrictive environment.
With the ability to bring your own equipment and paddle for several hours, this option works well for individuals, families, and small groups. Well-kept facilities and a carefully managed lake make it a reliable choice for enjoyable, independent water time.
Yes, you may arrive at any point from 11:00 onwards, giving you flexibility if you’re travelling from further away or arriving with larger equipment. This makes it easier to fit the session around your day.
The latest time you can launch onto the water is 14:00, allowing enough time to enjoy the lake before the session ends at 15:00.
This option is aimed at paddlers who already have some experience, as there is no instruction included. You should feel comfortable controlling your craft and managing yourself on the water.
Beginners with basic confidence are welcome, but those looking for coaching or structured guidance may prefer a lesson-based session.
Permitted craft include sit-on-top kayaks, inflatable kayaks, paddleboards, and open canoes. These choices help keep the lake safe and suitable for all users.
Closed-top kayaks, racing kayaks, powered craft, and jet skis are not allowed under any circumstances.
All participants must wear a buoyancy aid while on the water. You’re welcome to bring your own, provided it fits correctly and is in good condition.
If you don’t have one, buoyancy aids are available to hire on site as an optional extra.
Children aged 8 and over can participate when using appropriate craft and safety equipment. Open canoes are suitable from age 12 and above.
A responsible adult must supervise under-18s, either on the water or from the shore.
Free parking is available on site, with signage directing you from the entrance to the correct areas. This helps keep arrival straightforward, even on busy days.
The short walk from parking to the lake makes transporting equipment manageable without long carries.
Rain does not affect your session; you will still be able to take part. Since you will get wet anyway, it can even be more fun in the rain!
If the weather becomes unsafe, such as lightning or thunder, the session will pause until conditions improve. You’ll be given options to rebook or request a refund if a session is cancelled.
Should Aztec Adventure Ltd, for reasons beyond their control (including high winds, lightning storms and icy conditions*), feel it is necessary to close the activity once your party have already commenced participation, you will be offered alternative activities, times or dates to return within one year and rescheduled free of charge.
Alternatively, you may opt to receive a gift card for the full value of your booking, which can be used to rebook at a date and time that suits your group within 12 months.
In such circumstances, you will not be entitled to a refund, in part or whole.
*In all other weather conditions, we operate as normal and standard conditions apply.
