A coasteering adventure offers the opportunity to explore Cornwall’s diverse coastline from a unique perspective. On this guided experience, you’ll be able to swim, scramble, and float through sea lagoons, caves, and natural rock formations. Whether you're leaping off rocks, climbing along the shoreline, or experiencing the power of the swell, coasteering provides a fun and exciting way to discover hidden coastal views and the region's natural beauty.
Your coasteering adventure begins with a thorough safety briefing and equipment fitting, where you'll be provided with wetsuits, helmets, and buoyancy aids. The session is guided by experienced professionals who will lead you through the exciting features of Cornwall’s coastline, including caves, natural pools, and tidal lagoons. You’ll swim through the rolling waves, scramble across rocks, and enjoy the beauty of hidden coves that are only accessible by water.
During the session, you’ll also have the opportunity to experience the unique whitewater features of the coastline, such as water surges and rock jumps. The group will move at a pace suited to everyone’s skill level, ensuring both fun and safety. Trainers or wetsuit boots are required as the terrain can be slippery and rocky. Expect to get wet and embrace the adventure!
The coasteering adventure takes place at Harlyn Bay Beach, Cornwall, known for its dramatic coastline and crystal-clear waters. Cornwall offers some of the best coasteering spots in the UK, with its diverse rock formations and tidal pools that provide an ideal environment for this activity.
Each session will be tailored to the specific conditions of the day to ensure safety and enjoyment while exploring the region's coastal beauty.
Participants should be competent swimmers, able to swim 50m unaided in a pool. The minimum age for the activity is 12 years, though younger participants may be considered if they are confident swimmers.
It is essential to wear trainers that can get wet; wetsuit boots are acceptable, but wetsuit shoes are not.
The team leading your coasteering adventure is passionate about Cornwall and has a wealth of experience in water sports.
