## FAQs

### Do you provide all equipment?

Yes, all the necessary kit is provided for your lessons. You will need to bring a pair of trainers that you don't mind getting wet.

### Do you cancel if it’s raining?

No, coasteering can still be great fun in the rain. In fact, some of our most memorable sessions have been on rainy days! As you'll be getting wet anyway, the rain doesn’t make much difference. However, if the weather conditions become unsafe due to strong winds or rough seas, we may need to reschedule or offer an alternative activity.

### Can I use my own equipment?

We provide all the equipment you need, but if you've invested in your own wetsuit, especially a winter suit, you're welcome to bring it along. However, we use winter wetsuits ourselves, so if you'd like to stay extra warm, we recommend using one of ours.

### Is coasteering safe?

Yes, coasteering is an exciting but well-managed activity. All of our guides hold surf lifesaving qualifications, first aid certifications, and have completed extensive in-house training. They have expert knowledge of the ocean and tides, ensuring that routes are as safe as possible. We are members of the National Coasteering Charter and have been running sessions for over 14 years with an excellent safety record.

### Is there a minimum number of participants required for the session to run?

Y es, a minimum of 2 participants is required for the session to go ahead. If this minimum isn’t met, we’ll contact you to reschedule or offer an alternative option. For larger groups of up to 20 people, please get in touch via the adventuro chat to discuss availability and arrangements.

### How fit do I need to be?

A basic level of fitness is required, and you should feel confident in the water. We recommend that participants be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres. The route involves walking across rocks, swimming through sections of open water, and exiting onto rocky terrain. There are jumps along the route, but these are all optional. It’s an active session, but you don’t need to be an athlete to take part. If you have any concerns about your ability, please speak to your guide before the session.

### What is the minimum age?

The recommended minimum age is 12 years, although younger participants may be accepted by arrangement if conditions are suitable. There is no upper age limit, but we ask that all participants use their best judgement regarding their fitness and confidence in the water.
