Family or Small Group Private Surf Lessons at Harlyn Bay Beach

This surf lesson is perfect for families and small groups looking for a private tailored experience with your own personal instructor. This is a 1.5hr session and includes all your equipment.  The instructor will adapt the lesson to suit all ages and abilities, making it a great way to enjoy the water together.

• What to Bring: Swimwear, towel, sun cream, and if preferred, your own full-length wetsuit (we provide wetsuits)

What to Expect

Your private lesson will be fully tailored to your group, ensuring that everyone, regardless of experience, gets the support they need. The session will focus on building water confidence, developing key surfing techniques, and ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all. Whether you're new to surfing or looking to improve your skills, the instructor will adjust the coaching to match your group’s ability. The lesson will include a mix of land-based instruction and water practice, ensuring each participant gets time to develop their technique while having fun.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to allow time for getting into wetsuits and a pre-lesson briefing. 

Location

The lesson takes place at Harlyn Bay, a well-known beach with ideal conditions for learning to surf. The bay provides a safe and spacious environment, making it suitable for both beginners and those looking to improve their skills. 

The gently breaking waves and sandy beach create the perfect setting for families and groups to enjoy their time in the water.

Prerequisites

The minimum recommended age for participants is 7 years old. 

A reasonable level of fitness is helpful, but no prior surfing experience is required. The session is designed to accommodate all abilities, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their technique.
