Train as a workplace first aider over three days (minimum eighteen hours) covering CPR, major illness, injury management and health and safety duties for higher-risk environments. Successful candidates receive a three-year Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification.
Gain a comprehensive 3-day (18-hour) workplace first aid qualification covering the full spectrum of emergency response and illness management for higher-risk environments. Your tutor covers major injuries, fractures, spinal trauma, head injuries, chest conditions, severe burns, eye injuries, poisoning, and chronic medical emergencies like asthma, diabetes, and anaphylaxis.
Training is delivered through a blend of clear demonstrations, small-group scenario work, and repeated hands-on practice so procedures become second nature. Your instructor maintains an approachable, supportive atmosphere throughout all three days, guiding you through continuous assessments with constructive, reassuring feedback.
Training takes place at our training venue in the Skipton area at Heber Drive, outfitted with comprehensive resuscitation equipment, AED trainers, and scenario props. The site offers convenient road access from West and North Yorkshire alongside hassle-free on-site parking.
We email full course joining instructions, schedule details, and arrival times well ahead of your first day. You will find tea, coffee, and local amenities nearby for lunch breaks across the three training days.
No previous first aid knowledge is required, making this suitable for both new first aiders and those renewing credentials. You need to kneel on the floor for CPR and casualty positioning practice.
Please inform us of any mobility considerations or learning adjustments in advance. Wear comfortable trousers and flat shoes suitable for active practical demonstrations over the three days.
We deliver regulated first aid training with patient, practical tutors who make emergency procedures stick under pressure. Our instructors make complex first aid concepts memorable and easy to apply under pressure.
This regulated Level 3 qualification meets all statutory Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 requirements, providing three years of certified compliance for higher-risk workplaces. You are taught by professional tutors with deep operational experience in emergency care.
Classroom sessions meet at 17 Heber Drive, 17 Heber Drive, East Marton, Skipton BD23 3HA. Arrive a few minutes early for registration.
We send room access, parking and arrival time before your session.
Workplace first aiders in higher-risk settings and anyone nominated to hold the full three-day First Aid at Work Level 3 qualification. The syllabus suits factories, workshops, active employers and larger teams needing broader illness and injury coverage than the one-day emergency course.
Learners must be at least 16 on the first training day. Tell us about knee problems, dyslexia or anxiety when you book so tutors can support you through practical floor work and any written checks.
Your course fee covers three full days of qualified tuition, training manikins, AED trainers, bandages and scenario props, plus certification when you pass continuous assessment and any required written papers.
Travel to Skipton, lunches, personal clothing and employer audit files beyond the certificate are not included. Tea and coffee are usually available during breaks at the training room.
Sessions run at our training venue on Heber Drive in the Skipton area with on-site parking and space for realistic casualty simulations on the floor. The location is convenient from Leeds, Bradford and the Yorkshire Dales.
We email room access, registration time and what to bring before day one. Arrive a few minutes early on the first morning so you can complete paperwork before the safety briefing.
Wear comfortable trousers and flat shoes because you will kneel repeatedly for CPR, recovery position and bandaging practice across three days. Layers help as room temperature changes when groups move between desks and floor work.
Bring lunch, snacks and water for each day. A notebook is optional if you like written notes alongside the practical drills.
No previous first aid certificate is required; the course suits new workplace first aiders and those renewing an expired FAW qualification. Tutors explain each topic before you practise with partners and manikins.
Share any medical conditions that affect kneeling, bending or gripping so demonstrations can be adapted safely. If you only need low-risk workplace cover, the one-day EFAW course may be a better fit.
Assessment is continuous through practical scenarios, tutor observation and written papers where the awarding body requires them. You will revisit CPR, major illness and injury management several times so procedures become familiar under mild pressure.
Tutors give constructive feedback each day rather than surprising you on the final afternoon. Most learners who attend all three days and engage with practice pass comfortably.
Successful candidates receive a regulated Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate valid for three years from the date of issue. Store it where your employer can access it for HSE and insurance audits.
We can advise on refresher timing and whether requalification should be the full three-day course or a shorter route when standards change. Many workplaces diary renewal a month before expiry to avoid gaps in cover.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. Younger staff cannot be certificated as statutory workplace first aiders even if they assist during incidents.
Employers remain responsible for ensuring nominated first aiders match their risk assessment and shift patterns. One certificate is issued per person who completes the full syllabus.
Reschedule and cancellation terms follow the UK tiers published on this booking page. With at least seven days notice we will aim to move you to another published course date when a place is available.
Contact us as early as possible if work rotas change because three-day blocks are harder to refill at short notice. Late cancellations may incur fees shown in the policy on this page.
All manikins, AED training units, bandages, slings and classroom scenario kit required for the FAW syllabus are provided on site. You do not need to purchase practice materials before attending.
Bring personal items such as lunch, water and optional notebooks. Shared equipment is maintained and cleaned between courses following hygiene guidance from the awarding organisation.
