Our experienced instructors, Charlie and Dan, provide engaging and comprehensive instruction to help you feel confident in handling a variety of situations.
The course begins with an overview of responsibilities and reporting, ensuring participants understand the legal obligations and effective incident reporting techniques. Resuscitation and AED awareness follow, providing hands-on practice in CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillators.
We then cover the management of burns and bleeding control, teaching practical techniques to handle these injuries. Participants will learn to assess situations accurately, prioritise care, and provide appropriate responses. The course also includes a section on anatomy and minor injuries, giving a basic understanding of body structure and treatment of minor injuries. Handling choking incidents and dealing with unresponsive casualties are crucial parts of the training, ensuring participants are well-prepared for these emergencies.
Basic hygiene practices in first aid and managing epilepsy episodes are also covered, emphasising cleanliness and specific care techniques. Finally, we address shock management, teaching participants to identify and treat this critical condition effectively.
