Advance your freediving skills with the AIDA 3 course designed to deepen your safety awareness, improve technique, and build confidence underwater. This internationally recognised qualification focuses on both theory and practical disciplines across ocean and classroom sessions.
The course starts with a detailed briefing and mobility warm-up at the dive school, followed by short walks to the water, which is only two minutes away. You’ll complete dry workshops on stretching, equalisation, and training tables before heading into the ocean to focus on free immersion, constant weight bi-fins, and other depth disciplines. Pool or confined water sessions will focus on static and dynamic apnea, with feedback and coaching throughout. You’ll also build endurance, improve body positioning, and train with surface support from your instructor.
Theory is delivered over several sessions and includes detailed modules on dive physiology, barotrauma, decompression risks, blackout, safety protocols, and more. You’ll learn to assess risk, plan dives, and work within your limits using the freediver’s code of conduct. To pass the course, you'll need to complete depth and distance benchmarks, as well as a multiple-choice exam with at least a 75% pass mark. AIDA 2 certification or crossover is required before enrolling.
All sessions are based in Puerto del Carmen on the southeast coast of Lanzarote, known for its clear waters, consistent conditions, and easy ocean access. The dive school is located in the Jardines del Puerto Shopping Centre on Calle Roque Nublo, just a few minutes’ walk from the main dive entry point. You'll meet here at the start of each day for briefings, equipment fittings, and stretching routines before heading out.
This location is ideal for freediving, with a sheltered bay that quickly drops off to deeper water, allowing training at a range of depths without long swims or boat rides. You'll benefit from calm conditions and good visibility year-round, which supports a focused and comfortable training environment.
You must have already completed the AIDA 2 course or be able to demonstrate equivalent certification from another freediving agency through a crossover evaluation. You should be comfortable in open water and have some experience with depth diving, equalisation under pressure, and safety support roles. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, or 16 with written parental consent.
This freediving centre maintains a strong focus on quality training and safety by keeping instructor-to-student ratios low—usually 1 instructor per 3 students on the buoy. Each course is tailored to suit individual pace and ability, whether you’re developing your technique or aiming to push to new depths. Their team includes three certified instructors and two assistants, making it possible to support both individual and group learning without compromising on attention.
They’re based in a fully equipped facility just two minutes from the ocean, with access to Cressi Apnea gear that’s replaced three times a year. All sessions include pre-dive stretching, and there's flexibility across full and half-day formats. Their experience with a wide age range and welcoming attitude ensures each diver gets the personal support needed to progress with confidence.
