Your guide will show you the basics — how to use your mask, snorkel, and fins — before leading you through Lanzarote's volcanic lava reefs to discover colourful fish, octopus, and crabs. Meet us at Beneath the Waves, Calle Roque Nublo, 2, Puerto del Carmen — look for our shopfront with the Beneath the Waves signage. Your guide will check you in and get you fitted with your snorkelling equipment before the short walk down to Playa Chica, where your session begins. there is parking in the location of the school

For beginners, the Try Freediving introduction builds a strong foundation in the core skills — breathing, relaxation, equalisation, finning, and duck diving — in a safe, supportive setting. Those looking to progress further can join the AIDA-certified freediving courses (Levels 2, 3, and 4), covering everything from fundamental safety and technique through to advanced depth training and master-level skills, all under expert guidance.
For a more relaxed way to connect with the ocean, Reef Exploration and guided snorkelling sessions take you through Lanzarote's volcanic lava reefs and thriving marine life, including guided trips to Playa Chica — the island's #1 snorkelling spot, sitting within the Lanzarote Biosphere Reserve. Spearfishing experiences are also available for those seeking a more adventurous day on the water.
