Yoga and Paddleboarding through adventure Paddleboarding was fantastic! A great experience as part of my sister’s hen do. Lucy was upbeat, had brilliant knowledge to help up with equipment and took some brilliant photos of us on the water!

Experience St Andrews from a fresh perspective on the water with a guided three-hour paddle along East Sands Beach and nearby coastline. This session allows participants to enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and open water at a comfortable pace, with support from an expert guide. It’s a balanced mix of exploration and skill practice in a relaxed environment.
The session starts with a safety briefing and equipment fitting, including a paddleboard, paddle, wetsuit, and buoyancy aid if required. Your guide demonstrates techniques and helps everyone feel confident before heading out into open water.
Participants follow a route designed to combine calm stretches with areas that encourage skill practice, including handling minor waves and turning efficiently. Guidance is provided throughout to ensure safety and enjoyment.
Along the way, you’ll pass cliffs, bays, and habitats rich with bird and marine life, offering chances to observe wildlife and appreciate the coastline from the water. The session concludes back at the launch site, with optional photos shared afterward.
East Sands Beach offers an accessible launch point with parking and a clear meeting area. Its sandy shoreline makes entering and exiting the water straightforward for small groups.
The surrounding coastline features cliffs, sheltered bays, and habitats ideal for spotting marine animals and seabirds. The area allows for a safe, scenic, and engaging paddle while developing confidence in open water.
Participants should have prior experience on a paddleboard, as the session involves three hours on the water with potential choppy conditions. Comfort in open water and basic paddling ability is recommended.
Private sessions are available for tailored guidance, ensuring participants can enjoy the route and pacing suited to their ability while staying safe.
Small group sizes and professional guidance ensure every participant receives support and practical tips while exploring the coast. The focus is on safety, enjoyment, and confidence-building rather than speed or performance.
You’ll have the chance to take in local wildlife and coastal scenery while improving your paddling experience on a longer journey. Guidance from an experienced instructor helps participants navigate minor waves and currents, enhancing their overall enjoyment of the session.
You’ll need to come prepared for time on the water, so make sure to bring essentials that keep you comfortable before, during, and after your session. A towel and a full change of clothes are recommended in case you get wet, along with swimwear or trunks to wear under a wetsuit. It’s also a good idea to wear shoes that can get wet or bring a spare pair for afterwards.
Snacks and drinks will help keep your energy up, especially on longer sessions. If you take any medication, please ensure you have it with you on the day. And, most importantly, bring a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun—this makes all the difference on the water.
These activities are open to participants aged 14 and above. This ensures everyone taking part can safely handle the equipment and enjoy the experience. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and family-friendly while still maintaining the right level of supervision and safety for younger participants.
Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian either on the water with them or nearby at the viewing point for the duration of the session. This policy may vary slightly depending on the specific activity or location, but safety and supervision are always the top priority.
All sessions depend on the weather and water conditions to make sure they’re safe and fun for everyone involved. In the case of strong winds, heavy rain, or unsafe water levels, sessions may need to be postponed or moved to a more sheltered location. The decision will always be made with your safety in mind.
If a session has to be rescheduled or relocated, you’ll be contacted in advance with as much notice as possible. The team keeps a close eye on forecasts and conditions, and any changes will be clearly communicated so that you can plan your day with confidence.
Participants should have some prior paddleboarding experience. The guide tailors the session to ability, helping everyone handle waves, adjust strokes, and navigate minor currents safely.
Even those with limited experience will gain confidence with the instructor’s support while exploring a three-hour coastal route.
Yes, participants can bring snacks or a drink, ideally in a waterproof dry bag. Guidance is given on securing items to avoid affecting balance or paddling technique.
Having refreshments allows for energy breaks during longer stretches on the water.
