Accelerate your surfing skills with our flexible 3 or 5-day Surf Course, designed to propel you to the next level of wave riding. Whether you're a beginner eager to catch your first waves or an intermediate surfer aiming to refine your technique, this package offers a personalised experience to suit your abilities.
Lessons cater to all ages, with a maximum of six students per instructor to ensure focused coaching. Across three or five days, you'll build your confidence in the water, starting with fundamental techniques before progressing to more advanced skills. Each session includes land-based drills to refine movements, followed by in-water coaching where you’ll put what you’ve learned into practice.
Our instructors assess your ability from day one and tailor the sessions accordingly, making sure you receive the right level of guidance and challenge. Beginners will focus on paddling, pop-ups, and basic wave selection, while those with experience will refine their stance, turning, and wave positioning. By the end of the course, you’ll be catching waves with greater ease and control, setting you up for independent surfing.
Situated in the heart of Newquay, our surf school operates at Watergate Bay, a renowned surfing spot with consistent waves and plenty of space to learn. The beach provides an ideal setting for all skill levels, offering gentle whitewater for beginners and unbroken waves for more advanced surfers.
With dedicated parking, heated changing facilities, and on-site refreshments, everything is in place to make your time in the water as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Yes! We're one of the only surf schools in the Newquay area with private parking for our customers and definitely the most spacious. Our safe carpark overlooks the beautiful Watergate Bay.
If you say you’re with the surf school, you'll get a discounted rate.
For your surf lesson, you just need to bring a towel, flip flops and your swimwear.
If you can get changed into your swimwear before, it'll take the pressure off using the changing rooms.
You should aim to get here 20 mins before your lesson.
If you're running late just let us know. Be aware that Cornwall can get very busy in the summer so it's best to leave early. When you get here, you can grab some food and drinks, and take in the view before your lesson starts.
Surfing is one of the few family activities in Newquay that's rarely affected by the weather. We use premium, warm wetsuits that work year round and have brand new heated changing rooms. As well as the Hang Out cafe for hot drinks afterwards.
The only time your lesson may be cancelled is if the winds are too high, the swell is too strong or there's heavy fog. If the beach has red flagged these, we'll contact you to rearrange or refund your surf lesson with as much notice as possible.
Luckily this only happens once or twice a season.
