Driving Time: 7–8 hours (excluding sightseeing and meal stops)
Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Marrakech at 9:00 AM in a comfortable, modern, air-conditioned vehicle. Leaving the bustling city behind, you travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, following the winding road over the famous Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Along the way, enjoy several panoramic stops to admire breathtaking mountain scenery, traditional Berber villages, and dramatic landscapes.
Your first major stop is the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco's most iconic fortified villages (Ksar). Built from traditional earthen clay architecture, this ancient settlement has served as the backdrop for numerous international films and television productions, including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. Enjoy time to explore the narrow alleys, climb to the hilltop granary for panoramic views, and learn about its fascinating history.
Continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Gateway to the Sahara" and the "Hollywood of Morocco." Here you'll enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant and, if time permits, admire the exterior of the famous Taourirt Kasbah or pass by the renowned Atlas Film Studios.
In the afternoon, travel through the beautiful Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose fields and locally produced rose-based cosmetics, before continuing along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. As the landscapes gradually become more dramatic, arrive in the magnificent Dades Valley, renowned for its spectacular rock formations, lush palm groves, and ancient kasbahs.
Check into your charming guesthouse, where you'll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality. Enjoy a delicious homemade dinner before relaxing in your comfortable en-suite room for the night.

The journey then continues to the breathtaking Todra Gorge, one of Morocco's most impressive natural wonders. Here, sheer limestone cliffs rise over 300 meters (980 feet), creating a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River. Enjoy time to stroll through the gorge, admire the towering cliffs, and experience the lively atmosphere of this popular destination for hikers and rock climbers.
Continue through the oasis towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud, renowned for fossil workshops, ancient date palm plantations, and as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga, where your desert adventure begins.
Meet your camel caravan and set off on a memorable camel trek across the magnificent golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As you journey through the Sahara, stop atop the dunes to admire one of Morocco's most unforgettable sunsets, where the changing colors of the sand create a magical atmosphere perfect for photography.
