If you want more than a hotel-beach afternoon, a guided horse ride is a solid pick. Trails through palm groves, beach edge or desert fringe give you a slower pace than the resort strip, with time in the saddle to take it in. Allow about 3 hours for door-to-door travel and the session, with a crew who know local conditions.
At the yard your guide pairs you with a horse, checks stirrups and helmets, then leads the ride out. The ride stays at walk and trot for most guests, with canter only where the ground is safe and riders are comfortable. Photo stops along the route let you rest in the saddle and take in scenery away from the resort strip. Stirrups, helmets and horse matching happen at the yard before the trail opens, with the guide checking everyone is comfortable in the saddle.
Scheduled pauses break up the riding so horses and guests can catch their breath in the shade. Routes can shorten in strong wind or soft sand so the horses stay comfortable, especially on afternoon rides in summer heat. Return transfer brings you back to your hotel after the riding time on the trail. Return transfer brings you back to the hotel after the last section on the trail.
Sharm El Sheikh sits at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, with resorts along Naama Bay and Shark's Bay. Desert bases for quad and horse rides lie inland beyond the coastal strip.
Included collection reaches standard Sharm El Sheikh resort hotels, with pickup times confirmed closer to the day. Leave a little buffer at reception in case the van is delayed along the strip, and share your hotel name and phone number when you book.
Most guests need no prior experience. You should be comfortable following a guide and happy with the physical side of the activity.
Dress for sun and activity: comfortable clothes and sturdy footwear. Say any medical conditions or dietary needs when you confirm your place.
Hotel pickup and return simplify the day so you travel once each way. Activity kit and safety briefing happen on site, so you are not sorting hire gear in town.
Routes adjust to heat, wind and sand conditions rather than forcing a fixed loop in poor weather. That flexibility helps you get the safest, most enjoyable session available.
We'll collect you from your Sharm El Sheikh hotel and take you to the start point. Be ready with the kit listed for this session and any voucher details. The crew talk through safety, timing and how the horse riding will run before you head out.
The core of the day is guided horse riding time in the Red Sea. Stay with your group, listen to the briefing and ask if you want a slower pace or extra help with kit. Listen to spacing advice and riding tips from your guide and stay with the group unless told otherwise.
Take a breather between active sections, drink water and check kit with your guide before continuing with the second part of the session. Your guide stays close throughout and can slow the pace if you want extra help with kit, a slower pace on the trail.
After the last section you transfer back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. The whole experience is about 3 hours door to door, so keep the rest of your schedule flexible. Gather your belongings, thank the crew and double-check you have towels, dry clothes and anything you left on the boat or at the base before you leave.
Yes. Collection from hotels in the Sharm El Sheikh area is part of this experience. Give your hotel name when you book so the driver can find the right gate, and be ready in the window you are given.
Build the whole 3-hour shape into your day rather than planning something tight immediately afterwards. Traffic along resort roads can slow the van.
No previous experience is required for this horse riding. Your guide briefs you before you start and stays close while you try the activity.
Say if you are nervous or a new to riding so the crew can pace the session and offer flotation where it helps.
Light refreshments may be offered depending on the format. Carry water and a snack if you eat breakfast early.
Soft drinks beyond what is served may be extra. Bring cash if you want extras on the boat or at the base.
Practical kit is comfortable clothes for the activity, sun protection and a towel. Closed shoes help on boats and in the desert.
Bring a phone pouch or leave valuables at the hotel. Reef-safe sunscreen matters on long days in the sun.
Activity equipment is provided for the session. Bring your own mask or riding boots only if you prefer gear you already know.
Fit helmets, life jackets or harnesses before you start so you are not adjusting them mid-session. Ask when you book if you need a slower pace or extra briefing time on the day.
This runs for groups from 1 to 15 people. Smaller groups mean more attention from your guide on the trail or in the dunes.
Private formats keep the whole boat or vehicle to your party. Follow the guide's spacing on the trail.
About 3 hours including collection and the main activity time. Keep the whole window free rather than squeezing other plans around it.
A late appearance at reception or the meeting point shortens time on the activity because the session leaves with the group.
Families are welcome when children are comfortable with the activity format. Infant seats may be available on transfers where listed.
Say ages when you book so the crew can plan seating, kit sizes and pacing on the water or in the desert.
This activity needs workable conditions. If wind, sea state or sand storms rule it out, the crew may reschedule or switch sites.
You will be told as early as they can once morning conditions are clear. Have a loose plan for the rest of the day.
Give your hotel name and a reachable phone number when you book. We'll confirm the pickup window or meeting pin closer to the day.
Notes are the place for dietary needs, ages, or a later pickup if you have an evening plan after the session.
